Šta bih ja u ovoj crnoj noći bez tebe radio?

Summary:

“What are you worried about?” Nace questioned and Kris nodded toward Jan. “About Janči. I really think he shouldn’t be performing tonight”, Kris explained and Nace nodded his head, understanding the worry. “I know and I agree with you, but we both know how he is, Jan isn’t backing up until he’s at least dead”, Nace sighed.

Work Text:

From the second Jan woke up, he felt how sickness was trying to take over him. It felt like a cactus was stuck in his throat and that someone tried to drill a hole into his head. Jan got really scared because there was a concert coming up later today. This was not the day to be sick. He could be sick any other day, but not today.

It was dark and cloudy outside, so it didn’t raise Jan’s mood either. He took a moment to just lay in the bed and watch how the raindrops smashed into his window. Jan sighed and looked at the clock, it said 9.24. At least he wasn’t going to be late today.

Jan got up from the warmth of his bed and went to his kitchen, so he could make some ginger shots for himself. Ginger shot, vitamins, shower cold, feeling old. You know how it goes.

Jan hated the taste of ginger and citron, but he didn’t have a choice today. He needed to do everything so he wouldn’t be sick in the evening. He also needed to make a trip to his nearest store because why on earth would he have at home the two ingredients that he hated so dearly?

Jan needed to put something warm on because he couldn’t risk getting any sicker. The weather was cold and cloudy, so hoodies and sweaters it is. When Jan went through his closet he realized that all his hoodies were in the laundry. “How is this even possible?” He said to himself and sighed, pulling some kind of old sweater from the closet, so he would have at least something warm.

Jan finally got back home from the gloomy weather, with some citron and ginger in his bag, so he could finally get to the making part of these ginger shots. He cut the citron in half and squeezed the juice into a small bowl and then he took the the ginger. Jan scrunched his eyebrows looking at the ginger and thinking what the fuck do you do now. Jan took a quick internet searching moment and came to the conclusion that he should peel the ginger first.

“Why the fuck this is so hard”, Jan scoffed while he tried to peel the ginger. He had already peeled like half of it, but it was fighting. Jan vs the ginger or Jan vs the peeler? Of course, just like five seconds later, Jan accidentally hit his finger with the peeler, making a wound to it. Okay, it was Jan vs the peeler and the peeler had just won.

“Fucking hell”, Jan cursed dropping the ginger and the peeler, and making his way to the bathroom, to look for a bandaid. At the same time, his phone started ringing. “Why everything is happening at the same fucking second!!” Jan yelled at himself when he went to look for his phone, his finger still bleeding. Jan left blood drops on the floor behind him as he squirrelled around his apartment.

“Hi”, Jan sighed at the phone sounding probably very frustrated. “Janči, is everything okay?” Nace was immediately worried. “Yeah, I was doing my breakfast and the peeler slipped from my hand. I got a cut on my finger”, Jan sighed. “And now I’m trying to find a bandaid, I am bleeding into my bathroom sink”. “Oh, poor baby, are you going to be okay?” Nace said and something about him calling Jan baby, made Jan’s ears blush and he felt small butterflies in his stomach. “Yes yes, why did you call me?” Jan asked and opened his bathroom cabinet. “I was just making sure that you are awake and getting ready to leave, what were you peeling?” Nace asked and Jan sighed, finally finding the bandaid package. “Just ginger”, Jan said, bandaging his finger. “Why? I thought you hated ginger?” Nace said, sounding slightly amused. “I just felt a bit sick when I woke up so I decided to do a ginger shot”, Jan explained. “Oh, okay. Are you sure you’re not sick? Did you measure your fever?” Nace was such a caretaker when it came to Jan. He is always there to take care of him. “Yeah, yeah. I am okay, how did you sleep?” Jan took the chance to change the topic as he moved back to the kitchen.

“I slept pretty okay, how about you?” Nace answered and Jan heard how he started to do something. “Uhm, I didn’t sleep that great”, Jan said, shrugging his other shoulder. “Oh, well maybe you can sleep better next to me”, Jan knew Nace was joking, so he just chuckled. “Yeah, let’s hope so”, Jan laughed. “Have you been taking the insomnia medicine?” Nace asked and Jan sighed. “Well, yeah. I started to take it but all the side effects were so bad that I haven’t taken it in like three weeks or so”, Jan explained, chopping the ginger into his small blender. “What kind of side effects?” Nace questioned. “Mostly just throwing up and headaches. Kind of same things I would have if I just didn’t sleep”, Jan listed and he could almost hear how Nace pouted his lips. “I’m so sorry for you”, he said and Jan could’ve cried, his friend was too precious. “It’s okay, at least we have the gig tonight so I’ll have something else to think about and of course, I’m happy to see you guys. I’m really looking forward to this evening”, Jan said and now Nace let out a small happy chuckle. “Me too. But now I need to go to shower so I won’t be late, see you in an hour!” Nace said. “Okay, see you soon!”

Jan grimaced when the sour citron hit his throat. He wasn’t sure if the ginger shot made him feel better or worse. Maybe it was a love-hate relationship… without the love though. Jan packed the rest of the gingershot into a small bottle, so he could carry it around and drink it later. Or he would just stuff the bottle to Bojan who was apparently the king of gingershots. Jan had also eaten toast and some orange slices for breakfast, which was a full-on breakfast according to the dry cereal he usually ate.

Right when Jan had placed his plate in the dishwasher his phone rang again. This time it was Bojan. “Morning Janči, are you ready to go? We left like 15 minutes ago”, he said as Jan started to stuff the last things into his suitcase. “Yeah, I’m ready soon, do you have any spare hoodies or something warm there, I don’t know how it is even possible but all of my hoodies are dirty right now”, Jan said, looking around for the last things. “Yeah, Nace said he has a spare hoodie for you. He also said you feel a bit sick, are you going to be okay?” Bojan made sure. “Yeah, I felt a little weird in the morning but I’m okay now”, Jan answered. “Okay, good. We’ll be there in like 10 minutes or so”, Bojan said. “Great, see you then”.

“Hello”, Jan said after he had tossed his suitcase into the trunk of their van and then climbed into the car. “Hi! Welcome on board!” Bojan smiled happily at him. “Where do you want to sit?” He then asked. “Somewhere where I can sleep”, Jan chuckled and then he was directed to sit in the back, next to Nace. “Hello Janči”, he said with a warm smile. “Hi”, Jan smiled back. “Do you want the hoodie right away?” Nace asked and Jan nodded his head, clearly shivering. “Are you sure you’re not sick?” Nace scrunched his eyebrows worriedly as Jan pulled the Nace-smelling hoodie over his head. “Yes, I’m okay”, Jan took his seat next to Nace, trying to convince him with a smile. “Please tell us if something in your condition changes, we don’t want you to play a gig while you’re sick”, Bojan turned to say. “I will tell you, don’t worry”, Jan said, digging the small bottle of ginger shot from his bag. “Is that what you did this morning?” Nace questioned and Jan nodded proudly. “I hate this with all my heart, but I’m trying to stay not sick, so”, Jan said, taking a sip from the bottle and grimacing. “Fucking hell, this is awful”.

The journey towards their concert venue was quite uneventful. First of all, Jan had gifted the rest of his ginger shot to Bojan, who had happily drank it, babbling something like how it was good for his throat as he sang.

Jan had fallen asleep fairly quickly after they had taken off and he woke up when they had a break at the gas station. Immediately after opening his eyes, Jan realized that his fever must have risen up. He felt like he was burning alive. “Janči, are you okay?” Nace’s attention was on Jan and he looked worried. “I don’t feel that good”, Jan said, his voice sounding hoarse from the sleeping. “Oh, no”, Nace said, giving a side hug to him. “Do you need to go to the bathroom?” Nace questioned and Jan just shook his head. “What if get some tea for you?” Nace suggested and warm tea with honey sounded like heaven right now. “I’d like that, with a lot of honey please”, Jan answered and Nace’s eyes sparkled. “I’ll get it for you, “ Nace said happily, pressing a small kiss on Jan’s temple. That made Jan’s ears blush again. Then Nace pulled the warm blanket better on top of Jan and left the van. “I think he likes you as well”, Jure’s head popped from between the two seats in front of Jan. Jan sighed and shook his head. “How do you know I like him?” Jan questioned and Jure just chuckled, shaking his head. “Oh yeah, how could I possibly know? I’m just telling you that he must like you too!” He cleared his point. “I don’t know Maček”, Jan said and Jure just smiled widely. “Well, I know it”, Jure said, sounding so sure that Jan had to smile a little bit as well. “Aww, look at that blush. You two will be such a cute couple!” Jure said and Jan couldn’t fight him. “Will be”, Jan just sighed to himself as he turned to look out of the window and saw Nace and Bojan coming back to the van. “Yeah, but I think that frogs are way cuter than any bird”, Bojan stated as he opened the car’s door. “Well, have you seen baby birds, they are so fluffy and cute, especially like baby ducks”, Nace argued. “Woah, such a serious conversation you’re having there”, Jure commented and Jan just pulled the blanket tighter around him focusing on looking out of the window. “How are you doing?” Nace’s voice softened immediately when he moved from arguing with Bojan to talking with Jan. And Jan’s attention was immediately drawn to Nace, who handed the cup of steaming tea to him. “I’m okay, just a bit cold”, Jan said, giving Nace a small smile. “That sucks”, Nace said taking his place next to Jan. Now he sat in the middle seat, raising his arm and offering his armpit as a place for Jan, who gladly leaned onto his friend. “Are you sure that you’ll be able to perform tonight? Don’t feel pressured to”, Bojan said and Jan just nodded. “I’ll be okay, I’m not that sick”.

Jan and Nace are a two-in-one type of deal. After Jan got over his “I hate new people”-state, they became almost inseparable. Nace was always making sure that Jan was okay and vice versa. They were so close all of a sudden that Jan formed a proper crush on their new bass player and who am I to blame him? Have you seen Nace Jordan? I’m sure you would form a crush even quicker if you spent time with him in the same room. Jan hated the thought of a new bass player, but luckily he didn’t hate the new bass player, he couldn’t even make himself to hate him. Now he was in an exploration of how to make Nace fall in love with him.

Hm, don’t tell Jan, but he won’t need to do that work, that’s already done.

Everything is ready.

They arrived at the venue an hour before their soundcheck was supposed to be. “Right on time!” Kris, their queen of schedules, cheered as he took his seatbelt off and turned to look at his bandmates. Jan was sleeping, leaning onto Nace’s shoulder. “How is he?” Kris made sure. Nace tested Jan’s forehead with his hand. “He doesn’t feel too hot, so that’s a good thing”, Nace commented, leaving his hand on top of Jan’s head. Nace started slowly running his fingers through Jan’s hair. “Okay, now we have to make sure that he eats and drinks enough, and takes a painkiller”, Kris listed and Nace nodded. “I’ll make sure of it”, he promised. Everyone in the van knew that Nace was doing everything to make sure that Jan would feel as good as possible.

“Morning”, Nace smiled as Jan blinked his eyes open. “Are we there yet?” Jan mumbled rubbing his eyes. “Yeah, we’ve been here for almost an hour. Others have been setting everything up and we’ll have the soundcheck soon”, Nace explained, still caressing Jan’s scalp with his hand. “How are you feeling?” Nace then asked. “I’m okay, thank you for taking care of me”, Jan slightly smiled. “Of course, and speaking of that, you should take a painkiller so the fever won’t go up”, Nace said, taking his bag and digging painkillers from there.

“You’re too good for me”, Jan whined when he received a painkiller and a water bottle. “Oh, I promise you that you’re too good for me as well”, Nace smiled as Jan took the medicine. After swallowing the pill Jan’s eyes fixed on Nace. “I’m so thankful for you”, he said with a small voice. “Aww Janči, I’m happy to help you, I really care about you”, Nace said, closing Jan into an embrace. “I care about you too”, Jan answered, letting himself completely relax in Nace’s arms. “I mean it Janči, I like you. I think I like you even more than just as a friend”, you could hear how nervous Nace was when he said that aloud. “Aww Nacko, I like you too”, Jan felt so relieved that Nace liked him back. “I’m so happy”, Nace leaned their foreheads together. “Can I kiss you?” He then whispered. “I don’t want to pass the flu to you”, Jan whispered back. “I don’t care about that”, Nace answered. “Then yes, I would like that”, Jan answered and Nace pressed their lips softly together. Jan had never felt better than in that exact moment.

Jan barely made it through the soundcheck and it made him really worried about the gig. “How are you feeling?” Bojan asked as he sat next to Jan, who was lying on the backstage couch. “I’m okay, I think I need to take more painkillers, so I’ll survive through the gig”, Jan sighed and slowly closed his eyes. “You know that if you don’t feel good, you don’t have to play. We can invent something, play your parts as playback or something. Please don’t sacrifice your health”, Bojan said and Jan just shook his head. “I’ll be okay, it’s an hour of playing and then we’re done. I can take a break when you play Padam with Kris and if things get too much, I can just sit down or take a few minutes off stage. I’ll be okay”, Jan explained and that made Bojan feel a bit better. At least Jan knows how to handle himself. “Here is some tea for Janči”, Nace walked backstage with a takeout cup in his hand. Jan sat up and got the teacup. “Thank you”, Jan looked at Nace with such loving eyes. Bojan took the sign that it might be better for him to leave. “I’ll leave you two alone”, he commented as he walked out of the small room.

“Do you think Bojan senses something?” Nace questioned when Jan leaned onto his warmth. “Probably, but I’m not in the mindset to be caring about it”, Jan said silently and took a sip of the tea. Nace chuckled slightly and pressed a light kiss on Jan’s hair. “I understand, now you really need to rest darling”, Nace said, his voice low. “Please continue that”, Jan whispered, seemingly enjoying this time spent with Nace. “Calling you darling?” Nace made sure and Jan nodded his head. “I will gladly continue that”, Nace’s smile widened.

Jan had cuddled up to Nace and fallen asleep. Kris walked into the backstage looking a bit worried. “I’m a bit worried”, he said it aloud, even though it shone from his face. “Yeah, I know. Luckily we don’t have any more gigs this month, please try to keep him somehow alive today”, Kris pleaded and Nace nodded. “I’m doing my best”, he answered.

An hour went quickly and Jan was still dozing by Nace’s side. Nace knew that he needed to wake this precious thing up. He started to slowly caress Jan’s cheek, pressing light kisses around his face. Slowly, Jan started to stir up, blinking his eyes open. “Good morning my darling”, Nace said with a smile. “Mhm”, Jan just mumbled and rubbed his sleepy eyes. “How are you feeling?” Nace questioned and Jan just nodded his head. “I’m okay, thank you”, Jan said and that made Nace feel a bit better. “Okay, so you’re able to perform?” Nace made sure and Jan nodded his head. “Yeah, I think so”, Jan answered and pulled Nace into a kiss. Nace was startled at first but quickly gave in and answered to the kiss. “Are you trying to distract me?” Nace asked when they broke the kiss. Jan just chuckled and smiled at him. “Maybe… is it working?” He asked and Nace pressed a new kiss on Jan’s lips. “Most definitely”, Nace answered.

Jan was feeling quite okay when he first woke up from Nace’s side, but when the time went on, he started to feel more and more sick again. Jan put all his effort into hiding his bad condition from his bandmates. He most likely succeeded with it, because soon it was their time to step onto the stage.

Jan was stressed about this gig. He had requested water bottles and also some painkillers for himself, so if he needed to take some in the middle of the gig, he could do so. Their crew also put bedding and a lot of pillows onto the backstage couch, so if Jan needed to rest throughout the gig he could do that. “If you need to rest then tell Nace and just go, we do have a plan b if you feel too sick to perform”, Bojan had explained. “And don’t feel bad if you can’t play through the whole gig, everyone will be happy even if you played just one song, okay?” Bojan had continued and Jan just nodded his head, knowing damn well that he wasn’t going to interrupt the gig. Jan wanted to play it though.

The adrenaline that was flooding through Jan’s veins helped him to forget about the sickness in his body. They heard how the intro started to fade out and it was their sign to get onto the stage. The crowd was wild, screaming and shouting. Jan could feel the energy that was radiating from the audience. “Are you ready?” Nace had whispered just seconds away from the moment when they were meant to get on the stage. “Yes”, Jan had whispered, felt a small kiss on his cheeks and then it was time. Everyone screamed their lungs out as the band was seen. They waved their hands to the crowd and they waved back to the band. Jan was feeling okay, due to the circumstances. He spotted the water bottles and painkiller on the side of the stage, so now he knew where he would sprint if he started feeling worse.

The first song was Gola and it went pretty smoothly. Jan was happy with how his riffs succeeded. Every time Jan glanced towards Nace, he saw that Nace was looking at him with a slightly concerned expression. He knew how Nace tried to be happy and calm, but still worry shone from his eyes. Jan flashed a reassuring smile at him and they moved on to the next song.

The gig went nicely until it was time to play Vse kar vem. After Vse kar vem was going to be Padam which was meant to be Jan’s break song. They had agreed that Padam was going to be played acoustic so Jan would have time to take a break. Jan didn’t quite reach that point.

During Vse kar vem, Jan started to feel a bit overwhelmed. He could feel how the fever was rising and suddenly he started to feel really dizzy. Jan had taken a painkiller during Katrina and he refused to take another one. Jan closed his eyes for a second, trying to keep his balance and trying not to pass out.

Just a few seconds later Jan realized that he was going to pass out. Jan started to panic when his hearing muffled and everything went blurry. He was able to hand his guitar to their crewmember before he was out of this world. Jan had fainted. He had fainted onto the stage, in the middle of their gig. In the middle of Vse kar vem.

Jan felt like it had been hours when he blinked his eyes back open, but it had been just minutes because Padam was still playing when Jan came back to his senses. He felt really lucky as he realized that Nace was with him, keeping him close and taking care of him. “Janči, how do you feel?” Nace asked right away when he saw that Jan had opened his eyes. Jan felt weird and he couldn’t answer anything. Nace pressed a kiss on his temple and wrapped his arms around Jan. “No need to answer, I’m here for you, don’t worry about anything right now”, Nace had said to him and Jan had just slowly nodded his head. Nace started to draw small circles with his fingers on Jan’s back.

“What happened?” Jan asked with a hoarse voice, after gathering his thoughts together. “You fainted during Vse kar vem. We had to cut the song in order to help you out of the stage, fans were worried about you but we told them that you’ll be okay. Bojan and Kris played Vse kar vem again, acoustic, and Jure stayed with us here, before he went back to the stage. Then they played Padam and they will be playing acoustic songs until I join them again, if you feel okay enough to be without me. But don’t worry, if you want me to stay with you, then I’ll stay”, Nace explained and then continued: “You were passed out for like three minutes if even that, we measured your fever and it’s really high, like 39.8 celsius, you should take a new painkiller”. Jan slowly nodded his head and then he felt how the tears were burning his eyes.

In a moment Jan was full-on crying. “I betrayed you all, I’m so sorry”, he sobbed. “I should’ve just listened to you”. This scene of Jan bawling his eyes out, feeling guilty, made Nace’s heart ache, but he just held Jan in his arms and kept him close. “I agree with you about the “listening to me” -part, but you tried your best, everything is okay”, Nace tried to calm him down. “You didn’t betray anyone”, he added. Jan had taken the new painkiller and he was feeling quite sensitive at the moment. Nace had wiped Jan’s tears away from his cheeks and hugged him tightly. Jan tried to calm down, so Nace could go back to the stage. “You should go back”, Jan whispered, tears still shining on his cheeks. “Are you sure?” Nace looked straight into Jan’s eyes, who nodded his head. “I feel less guilty if you go and enjoy the rest of the gig, please tell everyone that I am okay”, Jan pleaded and Nace nodded, pressing a kiss onto his lips. “Okay, I will. but if you need me, I will be back”, he said and Jan slightly smiled, pulling him into a new kiss. “Go on then”.

Nace had visited the backstage a few times in between songs. He gave Jan small hugs and kisses, also asking if he was okay. Jan had just smiled at him, telling him he would survive alone. Nace had pressed a kiss on his forehead and then Jan had to push him back towards the stage because Demoni was just about to start playing and Nace had the biggest part in that.

At the end of the gig, Jan had moved from the couch to the side of the stage so he could watch his friends perform Novi Val. Nace had spotted him and signed Jan to come up to the stage with them. Jan gave in and walked to the stage with his blanket. The crowd went wild when Jan was back in the game. He waved his hand slightly to their crowd.

“Jančii!” Bojan came to hug him. Jan took the mic and cleared his throat. “I’m so sorry but I’ve been sick this whole day. I tried everything to be able to perform and we saw how that went”, he chuckled dryly. “Please take care of yourself and each other, you are the new generation! This is Novi Val”, Jan said, giving the mic back to Bojan as Kris started playing.

Jan took his place next to Nace, sitting on the edge of the stage. He leaned onto Nace and smiled at their crowd. People showed hearts to him and Jan tried to do it back. Nace just laughed at him. “Hey, don’t laugh at me!” Jan said crossing his arms and pouting his lips at Nace. He heard a silent “aww” from the audience. “Don’t be mad”, Nace had leaned a bit closer so he could talk into Jan’s ear. After that Nace took Jan’s hands and helped him to make a heart, they made a heart together and Jan knew that someone would take a picture of them, so he could have a new wallpaper.

Jan was feeling really sensitive after the gig. All he did was blinking his eyes, rapidly trying not to cry. He wanted to give hugs and praises to his friends who had just played a really good gig according to the circumstances, but he couldn’t do it. All Jan was able to do was sit on the couch, tremble because of coldness and try not to cry. Nace helped the crew quickly by packing up his own bass before he made his way to the backstage. Immediately when he saw Jan, his expression changed into a worried one. “Darling, what’s wrong?” He asked taking a few running steps to be closer to Jan. Nace sat next to him and pulled him into an embrace. Jan wasn’t able to say anything and when Nace had wrapped his arms around his lover, he realized how Jan was shivering. “You’re shivering”, he said aloud and then quickly went to grab his hoodie from their dressing room.

Soon Jan was clothed with Nace’s hoodie and wrapped in several blankets. Then he started crying and Nace kept him close, trying to calm him down by slowly swaying him. “Oh Janči”, Jure had walked into the room and came to hug Jan as well. Jan wanted to tell how much he loved his friends and how good they were to him, but everything he got out of his mouth was these stupid sobs. “You don’t have to say anything”, Nace whispered, pressing a kiss on Jan’s temple. “Aww, a group hug!” Bojan was the next one to walk into the room and then he backed up to shout “Kris, come to a group hug!”

They all just hugged each other and finally, Jan felt warmer. Nace pressed small kisses on Jan’s head every now and then, it made Jan feel so lovable. Jan had also finally calmed down and he was able to word his feelings. “Thank you for being here for me”, Jan whispered and felt how the hug got even tighter. “Always, we’re always here for you”, Bojan said, sniffing as well. At least Jan wasn’t the only sensitive one.

“Should Jan share a room with someone?” Kris questioned when they finally arrived at the hall of the hotel they were meant to stay in. Nace glanced towards Jan with a loving smile and Jan immediately took a step closer to him, so Nace was able to wrap his arm around Jan’s shoulder. “I think he should”, Nace said and that was the moment when all their bandmates realized. “Aww, really? Are you two together?” Jure’s eyes were shaped like hearts. Jan turned to look at Nace whose arm was tightly around him. “Yeah, I think we are”, Nace said, keeping his eyes on Jan who smiled back at him. “Yeah, I think so too”, Jan whispered leaning onto Nace because he started to feel dizzy again. “Cuties”, Kris commented with a smile. “I feel a bit dizzy again, I think I need to lay down”, Jan mumbled so quietly that only Nace heard him. “Oh darling, we’ll get to the room as soon as possible”, Nace pressed a kiss on Jan’s forehead. Nace kept Jan close to him, so he wouldn’t fall.

When they got into the room Nace took Jan to his arms and carried him towards the bed. Nace lowered Jan onto the bed and helped him to take the jeans off and then he pulled the blanket on top of him. “How are you feeling? Do you need something? Water, painkillers, something to eat?” Nace made sure as he changed into his own pyjamas. “I’m okay, I would like some cuddles now”, Jan mumbled and that made Nace smile widely at him. “That I can definitely give you”, Nace answered as he crawled next to Jan under the blanket and wrapped his arms around Jan.

“Did you learn anything from today?” Nace asked, keeping his voice sweet and soft. “I need to listen to you”, Jan whispered and Nace chuckled. “Okay, maybe I need to listen to myself even more”, he fixed and Nace rewarded him with a kiss. “That’s right”, he smiled at Jan. “I learned that you like me too”, Nace added sweeping a strand of Jan’s hair away from his face. “That’s cute, and that’s really true”, Jan said, trying to smile but instead he yawned. “That was a yawn, now we sleep”, Nace said, pulling Jan as close as possible. “And if you wake up and feel hot or bad in any other way, wake me up and I will help you, okay?” Nace made sure, looking straight into Jan’s eyes. He nodded in response. “What if I wake up and you’re hot?” Jan said with a smirk. “Because you’re always hot”, he was able to add. “Okay you flirt, now we sleep”.
