“Wait,” Eddie says, pulling away, Buck whining at the loss. Eddie looks fully debauched, beautiful brown eyes almost entirely black, his mouth a vivid red. Buck would scream if he wasn't worried about a medical team busting in here at the sudden noise.
“Should we—”
“What?”
“I mean, er, should we, I dunno, slow down?” Eddie says, cringing so hard at himself that one eye closes. “Go for dinner first, or—”
It's incredibly endearing. Buck is actually going to kill him. “We’ve been having dinner together for six years.”
“Right. I meant—I just thought—”
“Stop thinking.”
“Yep. Got it.”
