Chapter Text
Peter’s day started off relatively normal. He left his apartment for Stark Industries at 8 AM for an early meeting with Pepper, checked in on the interns of R&D, and had lunch before going to his afternoon patrol.
Patrol was quiet, which wasn’t unusual for this time of day, but when Peter webbed up a mugger and gave the purse he stole back to the woman, both fell asleep right there in the alley.
‘Okay,’ Peter thought. ‘Maybe they are worn out from the stress.’
Still, Peter didn’t want the woman to wake up near the mugger, so he took her into a nearby shop. When he walked in, he noticed that everyone in there was also asleep. This is when Peter started panicking. He said, “Karen, call Tony.” Peter had moved on from the ‘Mr. Stark’ phase when he turned 18 and legally became an adult.
Karen said, “Call unsuccessful.”
“That’s weird,” Peter said. “He always picks up. Call Happy.”
“Call unsuccessful,” she said again.
“Pepper?”
“Call unsuccessful.”
Peter sighed, “Okay, something is definitely going on. Call Stephen.” Dr. Strange still feels weird about Peter calling him that, but he’s gotten used to it by now.
“Call unsuccessful.”
Peter groaned. “Okay. If I’m the only one awake, I’ll have to figure this out myself. Karen, is there anyone in the immediate area who IS awake?”
“There seems to be a group of kids about two miles east of here who are awake. My sensors are acting up the way they do around those Greek monsters you fight, however, so I can’t be sure.”
That suddenly made sense to Peter. If this was demigod stuff, then mortals wouldn’t know anything, anyway, so there was no point in asking. “Okay, thanks, Karen. I’ll change into my civilian clothes and check it out.”
Luckily, Peter’s apartment wasn’t too far. Peter went to his window, (even if everybody was asleep, the cameras in the public parts of the building might still be working) went inside, and, after realizing that his wife MJ and his two year old daughter were asleep, changed into his clothes, and grabbed his celestial bronze dagger out of his suit pocket (he keeps it in there just in case), a good amount of nectar and ambrosia, and his emergency web shooters. Peter wears his camp necklace under his suit, so he doesn’t need to grab that. He then leaves the building and goes as quickly as he can in the direction that Karen said until he sees three people in familiar orange t-shirts.
“Hey!” he says to get their attention. The kids jump and turn around, weapons at the ready.
“Who are you?” says the girl. She had blonde hair, grey eyes, and a dagger. A child of Athena if he ever saw one.
Peter put his hands up as a show of peace. “It’s okay. I won’t hurt you. I’m Peter Parker, son of Athena. Can you tell me your names and what’s going on here? I swear on the Styx I don’t know anything. One minute, I’m going around the city, and the next, everyone’s asleep.” Thunder rumbled in the distance.
The three demigods look at each other, trying to decide if they can trust him. “You really don’t know anything?” the black-haired boy holding a sword asks.
“No, I don’t have a clue.”
The (presumably) Athena girl lets out a breath. “Okay,” she says. “I’m Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena.”
“Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon,” the black-haired boy said.
“Wait. A Big Three kid? Last I heard there was only one of them, a daughter of Zeus. And she became a tree,” Peter said, surprised. If this kid was the age Peter thinks he is, then he must be the prophecy child (of course Peter knows about the prophecy. He just doesn’t know what it says) and that would explain a lot.
“Oh, Thalia?” Percy says, “She’s not a tree anymore. She joined the Hunters of Artemis the day before her 16th birthday giving me the absolutely wonderful opportunity of being the prophecy child,” he said sarcastically. “But yes, I am a child of Poseidon, and I’m not letting Nico, the son of Hades who was born before the oath, be the prophecy child, so I’m going to fulfill it.”
“Okay. That’s a lot of things to process. Who are you?” Peter asked the blonde boy.
“Will Solace, son of Apollo,” he said. That made sense to Peter. Will gave off healer vibes, which Apollo is the god of.
“Now that we know each other’s names, can I get a brief rundown of the situation?” Peter asks.
“Long story short, the Titan of Time has risen from Tartarus. He’s taken the body of Luke Castellan, son of Hermes, and is marching an army of monsters toward Manhattan. The reason everybody is asleep is because the god Morpheus has joined him,” Annabeth said. “Now, we’ve wasted a lot of time here. Let’s get to the group. Come on.”
Peter didn’t know what to make of it. Kronos? In the city he protects? One thing is for sure: he will not let that stand!
He followed them and a kid with a bow ran up to them. “Percy! Come quick! There’s an army of monsters! And the Minotaur is leading them!”
Percy groaned. “Him again?! I’ve had enough of him since I was 12!”
Annabeth said, “I know, but with your prior experience and your dip in the Styx, you’re our best chance.”
‘Wait, he bathed in the Styx?’ Peter thought, ‘Wow!’
“Ugh, I hate it when you’re right! Let’s go,” Percy exclaims, and everyone follows the boy.
“By the way, who’s this?” he asks while running.
“Micheal, meet Peter Parker, son of Athena. Peter, Micheal Yew, my brother,” Will says.
Peter says, “Nice to meet you! I wish it was under different circumstances.”
“Same,” Micheal says, then, “There he is.”
While Percy fights the Minotaur, Peter and the others held off as many monsters as they could. Eventually, the Minotaur turned to dust. That was when he started charging monsters left and right, defeating the majority of the enemies. Peter’s jaw drops, but he manages to stay focused. Now was not the time to marvel (A/N hah! Marvel) at impressive feats.
Other allies, presumably Apollo campers, started shooting arrows at the remaining monsters. Then someone showed up that made the campers even more angry. When Peter saw his eyes, he knew immediately that it was Kronos. Percy and Annabeth told most of the campers to retreat, but Peter focused on killing the monsters.
That is until Peter’s Spidey Sense acts up. He turns around and knocks the knife out of a demigod’s hand right before it would’ve stabbed Annabeth. Percy turned around, narrowed his eyes at the demigod, and said, “Ethan Nakamura. Nobody threatens Annabeth.”
“Interesting,” said Kronos. “Bravely fought, Percy Jackson.”
Peter didn’t listen to the rest of the conversation but some of the monsters fell off the bridge, which was good. Micheal only had one arrow, which was the opposite of good. Micheal said, “Percy, the bridge! It’s already weak! Break it! Use your powers!”
Peter knew immediately that Micheal didn’t care if he died at that point, but Peter won’t let it happen. He activated his emergency web shooters and grabbed Micheal just in time to pull him up from the falling debris.
The demigods breathed a sigh of relief, then looked at Peter in shock.
“You’re Spider-Man?!” Percy asked in awe.
Annabeth looked like she was about to pass out. She asked, “How?”
Peter shrugged, “It’s a long story. Let’s just say that when you put an Athena kid on a field trip to a building with radioactive spiders, things are bound to happen.” Annabeth shuddered at the thought.
Percy groaned and said something that sounded like, “Why is it always field trips?”
“I know, right?” Peter continued, “You won’t tell anyone, right? The only one from this world who knows is Chiron.”
“Of course not. Thanks for saving me,” Micheal said.
“You’re welcome.”
“We won’t,” Percy and Annabeth said.
“Good,” Peter said. “Do you have a base or hideout?”
“Yeah,” Annabeth said. She led everyone to the hotel they were using.
When they got there, Annabeth introduced Peter to everyone. Peter made a point of getting to know as many people as possible, just like he does on slow patrol days as Spider-Man. There were many people who were injured, and he brought out his emergency ambrosia and nectar. The healers looked relieved to see he had so much on him. Peter told them to use as much as they need. They were grateful, but still rationed it and used it on the worst injuries first.
Peter turned in for the night, exhausted.
