Summary
“I can’t believe you sometimes!” Luffy huffs, cutting him off. “Going off on secret missions, getting into fights, ok. Fine!” He jabs a finger at Koby, poking him right in the nose. “But I draw the line at making food without me!”
Koby stares up at his captain for a moment before he starts giggling. He can’t help it, the logic is so silly and undeniably Luffy that it loops back around to making perfect sense. Of course the thing Luffy is focused on is the food, not that Koby was hiding something from him. The giggles break into full on laughter as Luffy withdraws his finger.
“What’s so funny?” Luffy asks, baffled by Koby’s reaction.
“I-I’m frying this up for you and Zoro, Luffy!” Koby manages around his laughter. “I wanted it to be a surprise, but I guess I should have known there’s no hiding meat from you,” He finishes, his laugh tapering off.
Luffy takes a moment to process what Koby said. The next thing he knows, Luffy has gathered him up in a hug, smiling and laughing as he spins them around the room.
“Koby’s the best!” Luffy yells while squeezing Koby tight.
