Hashirama and Madara

Summary:

A Romeo and Juliet parody.

(I had to do it.)

Notes:

This story is my entry for day 6 of HashiMada Week 2024, for the prompts ‘Sun’, ‘Moon’, and ‘Stars’, and it's a gift to KuraKura0_0 and Lulubelle01 who both inspired it.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: The Prologue

In which the narrator describes the situation.

(For context.)

Chapter Text

Two clans, both alike in dignity
(In Hi no Kuni, where we lay our scene),
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where shinobi blood makes shinobi hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Doth with their death further their clan's strife.
The fearful passage of their death-marked love
And the continuance of their family's rage,
Which, despite their children's end, naught could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which, if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
