Techno shakes its head. “No, what’s your name? What do people call you?”
“I don’t have one,” the Entity insists, then hesitates. “Do you want to call me something?”
“Mhm.” Techno takes a step closer to examine the form in front of it. They look just the same, from the part of their hair to the scuffs on their house shoes. “How about Niki? Can I call you Niki?”
Niki smiles and its teeth look just like human teeth. “I like that name. Niki.”
Techno nods in a single firm motion more at home on a business owner than a child. “Niki, do you know how to play marbles?”
