A hero of Freedom and Justice!

Summary:

Midoriya Izuku was quirkless. That was just a sad fact of life. When his life turns for the worst, he doesn’t give up and his is gifted with something that was thought to be a myth. A Vision. He also gains two eccentric Archons as parents.

Chapter 1: Getting a Vision.

Chapter Text

Midoriya Izuku is a happy child. He has everything he could ever want. He has a loving mother, his favourite food served to him almost every day, all the All Might merchandise he could wish for and more hero merchandise than he would ever need.

Midoriya Izuku is very content with life and is very happy. The world is going round. Everything is as it should be. It is peaceful.

Midoriya Izuku’s world came crashing down with just a single phrase. “You’re Quirkless, kid.” The joy in his eyes and the happiness in his face immediately faded.

Quirkless?

Quirkless…?

Quirkless…

Quirkless.

He was quirkless. He didn’t have what the majority of the population had, he didn’t have a genetic code for a superpower. He was part of the minority of what society deemed ‘useless’.

He didn’t even register that he was crying until his mother hugged him and started wiping the tears away. She kept muttering apologies, like it was her fault that he was born ‘wrong’.

When news got out that he was quirkless, he quickly lost all his friends. They all either stopped talking to him or just straight up bullied him.

His main Bully was his former best friend Bakugou Katsuki, nicknamed ‘Kacchan’. Bakugou’s quirk was being able to ignite his sweat to make explosions.

Bakugou would often use his quirk to hurt others but since his quirk was powerful and flashy, he got away with it. Izuku hated how differently he and Bakugou were treated.

Bakugou got praised and rewarded for doing bad things because of his powerful and flashy quirk. While He got bullied and punished for trying to protect and help people because he had no quirk.

This carried on for years, but no matter what the world did Izuku would not back down from his dream of becoming a hero! Nothing was going to change that.

Turns out the world took that as a challenge. For when Izuku turned 12 his mother was found dead in a villain attack. No one even informed him. He found out through the news.

One might think that Midoriya Izuku would have broken because his only family was dead. That person was wrong, once he finally finished mourning, his dream to become a hero only intensified. He was determined to not let anyone else feel like he did.

Two weeks later, he was at school barely paying attention because it was so boring and easy. He really didn’t think he needed to be there at the moment because he had already learned everything they taught.

He started focusing more on training his body for being a hero. He had no quirk so he had to work so much harder to be a hero.

That’s how the next 3 years went just with more brutal bullying because he had bruised Bakugou’s ego by punching him. It got him detention but it was worth it.

Then Bakugou took it too far.

“If you want to be a hero so badly, there might be a way, *Izuku’s face lit up* Pray that you’ll be born with a quirk in your next life and take a swan dive off the roof of the building!” Bakugou sneered.

Izuku started walking home, lost in thought. How could he say that to me? I know I’m quirkless but that doesn’t mean I have to forfeit my life!

He was broken out of his thoughts by a scream. He ran towards the scream and saw that a sludge villain had captured someone and was slowly suffocating them. The heroes weren’t doing anything, saying that none of their quirks could combat this. Then Izuku heard explosions coming from the sludge villain.

Wait…

Explosions?

Bakugou?

Bakugou!

He immediately ran forward, and started to claw at the villain. The villain looked both annoyed and amused. “That won’t do anything kid.”

The villain then put his attention on him and it allowed Bakugou enough time to completely break free from the sludge, while cursing his name out.

“Never fear for I AM HERE!” All might announced.

Everyone cheered as All Might defeated the villain. They once again praised Bakugou for being so brave despite the fact that he technically broke the law stating that only those with Hero licenses can use their quirks in public.

Do you want to know what he got? Scolded. For running into a dangerous situation and possibly endangering people lives. At least he tried to stop the villain while the Pro Heroes stood around and did nothing!

Once the scolding from Pro Heroes and the insensitive questions from Reporters stopped, he continued on his way home. When he was out of sight from people, something strange happened.

The wind around him picked up speed, creating a small tornado. That tornado didn’t move but he saw flashes of light green mixed into the grey wind. The tornado suddenly condensed into a floating ball. The floating ball then turned light green. The wind dispersed and floating in its place was a light green gem brooch with a weird white symbol of wings.

He reached out to touch the gem. It didn’t disappear. Instead it seemed to glow in acceptance. Then he heard soft laughter but it was not mocking like he was used to, no it was one full of joy.

He tensed, ready for an attack from something he couldn’t see. He opened his eyes. When had he closed them? Only to see that there was no attacker, just a young… man? Woman? Izuku couldn’t actually tell. The person had dark hair with light green tips tied into a braid, green eyes and looked like a bard.

Then the person spoke “Wow! You fit the criteria! It’s been so long since anyone has fit the criteria for Visions!” The person said. Okay Izuku could now tell that this person was a man.

Wait… what did he mean?

“Um… what are you talking about? What’s a Vision? What criteria? Who are you?” Izuku asked thoroughly confused.

“Oh silly me! A Vision is something that allows you to control a certain element depending on what vision you have! You personally fit the Anemo criteria of Losing a loved one, being dedicated to a goal and showing some sort of laziness! And my name is Venti!” Venti said.

Okay he understood that but what element did he have control over?

So he asked, “what element do I have control over?”

Venti then said “think about how the vision appeared to you!”

“Wind?” He said.

“Yep, you control wind and you are now a Allyon of Barbatos! Anemo Archon and God of Freedom!” Venti said.

Izuku then thought, he doesn’t know how to use this Vision. Maybe Venti can help considering he knows so much about this thing.

“Can you help me to use the Vision?” He inquired.

“Sort of! I can teach you how to control it but you are the only one who knows how to use it correctly since it differs from person to person.” Venti answered.

“Okay that’s fine!” He said.

“But~ to help you I need you to come with me to a special training ground, preferably now.” Venti stated.

Izuku reluctantly agreed and they started heading off to wherever Venti was taking them too. It should concern him that this technically stranger was taking him away from the city but for some reason he couldn’t care.

When they stopped, they were in front of a mansion that had navy blue and light green decorations. It looked very expensive and big.

“This is where me and my wife live!” Venti said.

Venti lead him inside while yelling “Focalors~ I’m home and I’ve found someone incredible!”

Just then a young woman, who he assumed was Focalors, appeared. She had white hair with baby blue streaks and blue eyes that were two different shades with water droplets for pupils. She looked like a noble from France.

“Good to know that you’re back! Now who’s this person standing in front of you and why are they so important?” Focalors said.

“Well he just received an Anemo Vision!” Venti exclaimed.

Focalors looked shocked. Stunned. Unbelieving. Then she took a closer look at him and seemed to come to terms that what she’s seeing and hearing is real.

“Yes, it seems he has, what’s your name kid?” Focalors asked.

“My name is Midoriya Izuku, miss Focalors!” He said.

Focalors laughed and wiped a tear out of her eye. She then said “please just call me Furina, Focalors is my God name.”

Izuku stilled. Blinked. Once. Twice. Thrice. She was completely serious. Then something clicked in his brain. He had a suspicion and so he wanted to confirm it.

“Venti, are you also a God?” He asked suddenly realising that he was in the presence of what might be two Gods.

“Yep! I am Barbatos! Anemo Archon and God of Freedom! Focalors is the Hydro Archon and God of Justice! But we prefer for you to use our human names!” Venti exclaimed.

“Welp! Training Time.” Venti said.

Furina Laughed. Hard.
