Work Text:
In the forest, the sky the color of a beautiful red, reveals a beautiful clearing just as the fireflies begin to faintly light up the area in preparation for the dark and cold night.
Beyond the cover of the trees appears two people moving with slow and synchronized rhythm and movement, the both of them dancing in the middle of the clearing, being showered by the rays of the bright and lowering sun.
A man with purple hair and cyan streaks stare in awe at the sunset haired boy, the color blending in with the current sunset, as they dance to the rhythm of the soft and soothing hums of the blonde.
Their clothes ruffle in the silence of the evening, paired with the sound of crickets and birds chirping. The leaves crunch with each step both the men take, dancing the evening away with a waltz, as if in a ballroom.
The sunset haired boy, who had his eyes closed, opened his eyes to look into shining, golden eyes staring deep into his honeyed ones, smiling so adoringly at him that it made him smile wide. He couldn't fight off the intense swarm of butterflies suddenly bursting and filling his stomach.
Both their entwined hands squeeze each other as they continue to sway in the middle of the clearing, the taller's free hand holding onto the blonde's waist while the other hooks his arm around the nape of his neck.
The fireflies, glowing a faint yellow, flutter around them as they lose themselves in their slow dance, the scene seeming as if casted by a magician who excels in illusion.
They slowly lean close to each other and connect their lips together, their kiss showing their genuine love for each other. Their love for one another intensifying.
The pair of lovers danced until the sun went down, the moonlight illuminating the night as the surroundings start to get dark, the fireflies finally showing their full brightness.
As they dance and stumble, their laughter at their mistakes fill the night. They let each other feel their unshakeable affection for one another.
A sweet love song plays until it ends with a wonderful finish to their waltz.
