Work Text:

They're standing underneath the awning of the restaurant and Jaehyuk's draping his suit jacket over Yeonoh's shoulders. The night is quiet, with the only sounds being the jingle of the bell as the door shuts behind them, the -fwump- of the umbrella opening and the gentle pitter-patter of the rain on the concrete. The quiet splashes of two pairs of feet stepping into puddles on the sidewalk mix in with the sounds of the few cars passing by. Yeonoh's getting flustered (again) by his boyfriend's kindness and he tries to shift Jaehyuk's hand so that they're both mostly covered by the umbrella that's much too small for two tall men to be standing under.

"How was it? Did you like the food?"

"It was delicious, we should come back here next time. But Mr. Kwon, your shoulder is getting wet, you should hold the umbrella in the middle.” Yeonoh insists, "Mr. Kwon, you'll ruin your shirt, I'm fine. Let's BOTH be under the umbrella's cover. Plus, you already gave me your suit jacket. You'll be the one catching a cold." Yeonoh reaches up, his much smaller hand wrapping around Jaehyuk's much bigger one, as he repositions the umbrella between them.

Jaehyuk is trying his best to return the umbrella to its place, where it's fully covering Yeonoh. All that earns him is a hearty laugh; music to his ears. Yeonoh's eyes disappear to form crescents like the moon that's spotlighting them from the sky.

"Mr. Kwon...I know what you're trying to do, but we're both staying dry this way, so let's just get to your car." But Jaehyuk's not having it, so he moves the umbrella to his left hand and wraps his right arm around Yeonoh's waist; holding him tight to Jaehyuk's side.

"Mr. Kwon! People will see us..!"

"You're refusing to let me keep you dry, and weren't you the one to hold on to my hand first?"

“T-that’s because you’re the one getting wet when there’s room for both of us under here...”

“Mr. Seo Yeonoh, we can’t have our exclusive model getting sick. We’re almost at the car.”

Yeonoh let’s out a quiet sigh, but before he can admit defeat a sly smile flashes across his face.  "Mr. Kwon? Didn't you say your jacket was also keeping me dry? Well, I'll put it to good use then."  With one quick glance back at Jaehyuk, Yeonoh's raising his arms above his head, the suit jacket forming a shabby excuse of an umbrella for the rain that's picked up.

"I'll see you at the car Mr. Kwon!" Yeonoh's bolting down the sidewalk as the rain starts to soak through the front of his shirt and jeans.

Jaehyuk is left standing dumbfounded in the middle of the empty sidewalk; then, he's also running off to chase after his boyfriend. By the time they've reached the car both the umbrella and jacket have proved to be useless. Shirts are soaked and see through, their shoes and socks soggy.  Jaehyuk's once perfectly slicked back hair now shields his vision. They get into the car and Jaehyuk's blasting the heater. Both of them are breathless from the run, cheeks dusted a lovely shade of pink and rainwater soaking into the leather seats of Jaehyuk’s car. Yeonoh's the first to break the silence with another laugh.  The younger man’s shoulders shaking as he makes a poor attempt at drying off his face.  Jaehyuk takes one look at him before letting out a quiet huff, shaking his head in disbelief at their current situation. The heat's helping to warm him up but Jaehyuk is pretty sure Yeonoh's smile and laughter is doing a much better job.

"Are you satisfied, Mr. Seo?" Jaehyuk rests his arm across the top of the steering wheel, turning to face the other man.

Yeonoh hums, content "Yes, I'm satisfied.  Are you?"

Jaehyuk just looks at him and his finger reaches out to catch the stray raindrop that's made its way to Yeonoh’s chin.  The ends of his mouth tilt up into a small smile, “Let’s go home.”

Jaehyuk unlocks the apartment door and they’re peeling their shoes and socks off of their feet.  No matter how luxurious and expensive Jaehyuk’s car was, its heater stood no chance against Mother Nature’s rain.

“Meet me in the laundry room, I’ll get some towels for us.”

Yeonoh does as he’s told, attempting to strip his t-shirt and jeans off of his body.  He’s soaked to the bone and a slight chill causes him to shiver.  Suddenly, the room goes dark as Jaehyuk tosses a towel over Yeonoh’s head.  Before his boyfriend can protest in surprise, Jaehyuk wraps two strong arms around Yeonoh’s slender waist.  Jaehyuk spins him around and pulls the towel down from his head to his shoulders, grabbing the edges to pull Yeonoh against his chest.  Yeonoh’s cheek is met with the cold, wet cotton of Jaehyuk’s once crisp dress shirt.

“Ack! You’re so cold!” Yeonoh flinches away and his eyes are full of surprise at his older boyfriend.

Jaehyuk’s hands temporarily remove themselves from their home on Yeonoh’s waist; instead, they help pat him dry.  Jaehyuk leans down a little so his eyes can meet Yeonoh’s, “I think my clothes are stuck to me, could you give me a hand, Mr. Seo?”

Yeonoh’s fingers nimbly undo each button of the drenched dress shirt, before he glides his palm along the sculpted muscles of Jaehyuk’s body.  The cotton that once clung to the older man’s chest and broad shoulders, flies towards the open laundry machine.  Yeonoh’s gaze flits back up to Jaehyuk’s face, getting lost in his cool grey eyes that he realizes have been following his fingers every move.

Yeonoh stands on his tippy toes and brings his face inches closer to Jaehyuk’s, the sounds of their deepening breaths and rapid heartbeats filling the room.  Just as Jaehyuk thinks Yeonoh’s about to kiss him, the young man’s head retreats back.  The fingers that were once gliding down along his back, taking his ruined dress shirt with them were now finding their way into the waist of his equally as ruined slacks.  The faintest graze of Yeonoh’s fingertips set fire to Jaehyuk’s still cool skin as they led a path towards the front of Jaehyuk’s pants.  Jaehyuk is pulled back to reality when the metal of his belt buckle hits the tile floor and Yeonoh’s hands now gripping the loosened waist of his pants.  Jaehyuk’s own grip on Yeonoh tightens as he feels the heat of Yeonoh’s palms sliding down his thighs, separating the still soaked fabric from his skin.  He swallows thickly, trying to play off the hitch of his breath by clearing his throat.  Finally the fabric pools at his feet, he leans down to pick it up before it’s his turn to toss the piece of clothing into the washer.

He brings his attention back to Yeonoh, golden eyes burning with an undeniable intensity, pupils blown and slightly nibbling on his bottom lip.  Jaehyuk hooks an arm around Yeonoh’s thighs, picking up the younger man with ease and gently seats him on the washing machine.  Now it’s Jaehyuk’s turn to tease Yeonoh, with the way he leans in again and his sharp nose bumping gently against Yeonoh’s.  Now it’s Yeonoh’s turn to try and hide the gulp and bob of his Adam's apple.  Their eye contact only breaks when Yeonoh whips his head around at the sound of the rushing water that begins to fill the machine.

Another smirk graces Jaehyuk’s face as he places his hands on either side of Yeonoh’s bare thighs and leans in.  Warmth envelopes his shoulders and back, while nearly stumbling over at the force of Yeonoh’s legs wrapping around his waist.

Yeonoh hoists himself up into Jaehyuk’s arms, “Mr. Kwon, I think it’s time for us to wash up.”

Notes:

Hi long time no see!~

I started making a twt thread but then I decided to use my ao3 for it's purpose. Plus, it'll be easier to find rather than bookmarking and searching.

Life was being gross so everything I planned to do has been a little delayed but I hope to continue posting more before summer ends. Also, this was totally spontaneous and not one of the things I had planned to post.

Thank you for waiting, thank you for reading and thank you for loving Jaenoh 💖

(Also, I get so self-conscious about the word count for some reason...I'm always at too many words for assignments but when I write my own things I feel like anything less than 1200 words isn't enough...)
