Chapter Text
Shortly after Ford came through the portal, he decided to take Dipper and Mable for a hike in the woods. With Ford back in-town a lot of the mythical creatures that typically tried to hide from the twins began to reveal themselves. Dipper had been enjoying getting to know the creatures he had only learned about in the journal, and Mable even got apologies from the gnomes!
As they wandered in the woods, the trio felt the world shift and suddenly most colors drained from the world, and a demonic laugh that haunted Dipper’s dreams rung out from between the trees. Flickers of yellow and black whizzed between the trees, before rushing up to Ford. Dipper anxiously watched as Bill Cipher smacked Ford’s arm with either an attack or hug before quickly floating back.
“Ah Fordsie, you’re back!” The demonic triangle spoke, floating in the air in-front of Ford’s face. Ford grimaced, standing between Bill and the twins.
“What are you doing here, Bill?” Ford questioned, glaring harshly at the ever-moving triangle.
“You should know that by now, Fordsie~!” Bill spoke, laughing and doing a circle around Ford’s head. When he rotated behind Ford’s head he tipped his hat to the twins. Dipper looked at Mable with pure confusion all-over his face, while Mable backed up behind Dipper, gripping his arm tightly. They remembered Dipper’s possession well and did not want to repeat it.
“No, Bill, I don’t.” Ford spoke, tone somehow turning colder. Somehow, Bill seemed to shrink on himself.
“You don’t?” The demon sounded almost hurt. Dipper would have felt bad for him if it weren’t for the fork-shaped scars that still littered his arms.
“No.” Ford stated simply. Bill seemed to shrink further, before springing to life with what Dipper guessed to now-be false confidence.
“Well, I’m here to win you back! I want you to marry me, Fordsie!” With a snap of fingers, a wedding ring appeared on Ford’s hand. Ford quickly took it off and chucked it into the woods, causing Bill to burst into a roar of insane-sounding laugher.
After a moment to process, Dipper exclaimed, “You dated a triangle?!?”
Mable, ever the romantic, seemed unphased by the odd anatomy and dynamic. “Awww, you should give him a chance, Grunkle Ford! He said he loves you~!” Mable gushed, rushing between the two to gesture quickly. She pointed back and forth and made happy faces. Dipper stared at her in absolute shock.
“Your niece has it right, Fordsie!” Bill exclaimed, then snapped his fingers, summoning a bouquet of oddly dripping roses. “Give me a chance?” Bill begged, as crimson dripped from the bouquet onto the forest grass.
Ford, hesitantly, took the dripping bouquet. “Is.. is this blood, Cipher?” Ford questioned, touching the dripping liquid and inspecting it.
“Yep!” Bill’s near-robotic voice gushed, rushing to be close to Ford’s face.
Ford, without another word, dropped the bouquet and stomped on it. The bleeding roses screamed in pain and Dipper swore he saw the triangle start to cry. Ford quickly grabbed Mable and Dipper’s arms and turned away from Bill. As he began to drag the twins away, he paused momentarily, turning his head to say, “you’ll have to do better than that, Cipher.”
