"At twenty-three years old, crawling toward his twenty-fourth birthday, his brother's age made Fred feel uncomfortable. Clearly, Ron had a different appearance from their younger years - as did he. However, it hadn't been until they were defeated in the war that Fred fully acknowledge this fact. It was a detail that just escaped your attention as you interacted with someone daily, only resurfacing in your memory when you saw old photos.
But each time Fred caught sight of Ron now, he observed a new change that added to his maturing appearance. He supposed it was only logical, given that he only had the opportunity to see him twelve times a year, each instance for only a few hours. But still, it felt wrong - excruciatingly so."
Voldemort won.
No one really knew how it had happened, but it had. Voldemort had won, Harry Potter was dead, and five years later, everyone had slowly assimilated into the new normal.
Though, not everyone was coping with the change all that well.
