Alhaitham nodded, regarding Kaveh with a dangerous softness in his eyes that made the blonde’s stomach do a somersault. He tried to lean down and kiss Kaveh once more, but Kaveh cupped his other cheek as well, keeping Alhaitham in his line of sight.

“Acting Grand Sage. And it wasn’t my fault,” Alhaitham grumbled, adjusting his position so that one of his knees slotted between Kaveh’s legs, allowing him to hover over the older man. His palms were planted firmly on either side of Kaveh’s hips, holding his broad frame up as he stared down at the blonde. “The event was boring. I would much rather inebriate myself than answer another question about a possible reinstatement of the Akasha system.”
“And I missed you,” Alhaitham added, as if it were the most obvious thing in Teyvat.
