He knew— they both knew they shouldn’t be doing this, not now, not ever. The red-clad ninja had made his way into the young Garmadon’s room, the air around them seemly sucked out of existence when Amber met Emerald.
The ninja in red was perched on the window sill of the prince’s chamber, long curtains billowing with the powerful breeze of the wind rushed in. “Kai?” The blonde breathed out in shock, watching the intruder quietly close the glass panes and slowly make his way over. “Oh Kai—” The prince huffed and he scuttled over when he saw the man clutch his side in agony, he led him to one of his vanity chairs and looked around for a first aid which he usually kept especially for his beau when he came back from his missions.
The ninja was breathing heavily, watching the prince rip a piece of cotton from a strip of plastic and dip the softened piece into ointment before turning to him, soft hands ran through his dirtied gi, making his skin crawl from the touch and felt the tightened knot holding the cloth together fall apart, exposing his glistening skin to the chilling air.
He sucked in a strained breath when he felt the fabric separating the outside and his wound being pulled back and heard the prince softly gasp, “Kai— why’d you come here if you knew you had a wound like this?” Lloyd whispered angrily, his eyes slanting in a dangerous manner.
But the ninja grinned lazily at him, and ran a hand through his own locks of chocolate waves sighing, “I prefer the remedies of his highness” and he saw the prince wear a scowl on his pretty face, “shut up, after I’m done patching you up you’re going to take your trap elsewhere before anyone catches us.” he scowled, now taking the ointment-covered bud, “Alright, this is going to sting a bit—”
Kai had to hold back a grunt when he felt the stinging sensation of his skin burn when an ointment was being applied to his wound and he gripped the edge of the chair tightly. After several pained minutes of the searing pain that gathered in his side he felt a bit better when those gentle hands started to patch it up with a large bandage, fingernails softly gliding against his toned skin.
”Alright, I’m done, now see if you can move.” The blonde sighed with his hands covered in little specks of the blood of the ninja, and he looked up to see Kai turning his hips slowly, hissing a bit but otherwise okay, “Thanks princess” he shot at the blonde and watched a little blush appear under the glow of the moon that was thankfully not that visible.
The prince quickly looked away from him and wiped his hands on a nearby cloth before turning back, a titter of annoyance on his face, “Now that you’re able to move, can you please let this prince sleep in peace?” standing up and beginning to clean up the torn pieces of bandage wrappers that littered the marbled floor, “you didn’t seem exactly asleep when I came through your window.” The ninja said calmly and watched the blondes’ eyes squint in his direction, “I was about to go to sleep, but my instincts ought not to” he muttered quietly.
Amber jewels followed his movements carefully, “Well, seems your instincts seem to care more about me than you do.” the brunette smirked, seeing the prince make his way over slowly and stood in front of him, meeting emerald gaze. The eyes of the boy had always fascinated him— he remembers their first encounter, when he and his other teammates saved the royal family in a fire and he made the decision to save the young prince instead of going for the Serpentine, reminiscing when he met those glowing jewels of green for the first time.
He hadn’t noticed until he felt a body press up against him and he inhaled a powerful whiff of beautiful spring, hypnotizing him with each movement he took closer towards him and felt the cold breath of his beau seethe into his neck, “You surprisingly smell of floral— been playing in the fields again, have you?” the blonde grinned cheekily at him, starting to give into the sensation, “had to chase down a couple of those wild Samukai into the flowers…” The brunette mumbled and the blonde gave a little giggle and set a pair of delicate hands on either of his shoulders, using them as leverage as he brought himself up to give him a soft kiss on the cheek.
Kai felt the blood rush up his cheeks and wrapped a hand around the blondes’ slim waist, pulling him inwards, “You never fail to amaze me…” he mumbled into the crook of the boys’ neck, inhaling his scent in. A hand ran through his wind swept hair and felt arms wrap around his head, making his nose basically smushed against the soft skin.
”Mhmm you smell nice…” the blonde gave a sigh, feeling the others’ breath on his neck and shuddering at the tingling sensation surging throughout him, “you should be with your little friends, don’t want to keep them waiting?” he added, stroking strands of his brown hair. “Nah, I left them in the flowers”, and Lloyd gave out another quiet laugh and brought Kai up from his indulgence.
“You sure you don’t want to go back?” he whispered and the brunette nodded, making him let out a sigh. The prince led him over quietly to his large circular-shaped bed that was decorated in layers of veils and elegant fabrics and made Kai gently lay down next to him, “Did you lock the door?” the ninja asked, seeing the blonde’s eyebrow raise in suspicion, “why you ask?” And he leaned over to trail a finger across his toned chest, watching the others’ mouth twitch slightly.
The doyens head turned, familiar eyes making the prince cower in midst. “You know what I mean” he said deeply, and Lloyd decided to see what destiny would do next and equally met his lustful gaze. “waltzing into the room to butter me up? Too bad of your thing you have there” and his eyes fell upon the spot where Kai’s wound was.
But he was spared no second when a rough hand pulled him down into a wet kiss, startling him at the sudden contact and he pried away from warm lips, heaving and trying to hide away the coughs that threatened to spill out. “Cat got your tongue, princess?” but the vagrant was cut off when soft lips came clashing against his— it almost made him laugh at the thought the prince was trying to act tough, knowing he was the complete opposite of that when the ties were loose.
Oh he could do this all night and still go about his daily business in the morning, he pulled the boy onto his lap, with him straddling his waist. He ran a hand under his silken robes of cream, rubbing the pillowy-like skin that pressed together so softly. By then there were small moans that slipped from the blondes’ throat, and he put two hands on broad shoulders.
How did it end up like this? One moment the red-clad ninja came limping into his room in agony, the other he was on his lap, giving into the temptation of his desires which he wanted to hold back, “You know I have to meet the Jade Princess tomorrow…” he whispered, and he gasped at the sudden squeeze on his thighs.
The love around them had shortly dissolved and instead filled the gap between them with strong jealousy. Kai hated— hated the princess, who came from the Jade Kingdom, whom his dear prince was going to engaged with soon absolutely shattered him when he had found out. Her sly charming smile, white web-like strands of hair that complimented her seductive gaze that Kai detested so much— the last time he’d seen her was when he had to help guard her family when she met with Lloyd the first time.
He blinked when a soft hand brushed against his cheek, looked up and saw the ethereal gaze of his prince. God he knew what he was doing, he knew that look too well to even react when he felt his hair being played with, “Seems like my little ninja is jealous at the thought of me meeting the princess.” He absentmindedly said, stroking the soft strands and feeling warm hands slither around his waist.
Lloyd enjoyed seeing the red-clad get jealous at the mention of any mention of her, and giggled, giving him a soft kiss, “Don’t worry, I’m just playing with you— There’s no way I’m marrying her.” He breathed against his neck and felt a soft rumble against his chest, marking that the ninja was satisfied with his answer.
Maybe one day— one day there would be a moment of freedom for him to break free of his chains of gold that kept him anchored to his throne, running away with his dear love which he yearned for. But now, he had to be patient… that time would come.
