It’s been two months since the fall of the Skull Gang. Neon Mafia enjoyed great control over their territories, and Silver also got a famous reputation among underground circles because he successfully captured many important assets of the Skull Gang. Last month was relatively calm for Neon Mafia. Things looked peaceful. As usual, Dariux was walking around the park and smoking a cigarette. This time he was not alone; new recruit Green was following him. Green was a naive inhuman who joined the mafia a few months ago. He wanted to prove himself to the mafia in one way or another.
"I never thanked you before, boss, for rescuing me from the Skull Gang," said Green.
Dariux was surprised because he didn’t rescue him during the Skull Gang raid, so he just nodded his head. Green flexed his muscles.
"But boss, I think I’m ready for next challenge. I will show our family that I can do better," said Green, who started to do some karate moves to impress him. Dariux appreciated the kid’s dedicated spirit. After doing a few amateur kicks to the air, Green asked, "Hey sir, how did you join the Neon Mafia? You were a newbie like me back then, and I really wanted to hear about your journey."
"Well, it all started when I decided to visit my cous-"
Dariux’s speech was interrupted by the sudden crash of something in the lake. Both Dariux and Green were surprised and looked at the lake to see what was happening. Then something emerged from the lake and landed near them. It was a guy. He was blonde and wearing heavy blonde armor with a white cape. He had a chivalrous look and such elegance. He waved his hands to Dariux and Green.
"Sorry to disturb your jaywalking folks! But there is a big meanie that I must defeat, so please go somewhere that is safe," said the guy.
Dariux wondered why this guy was wearing full-plate armor on a hot summer day while Green seemed to be fanboying.
"Oh my god, you are the strongest superhero, Goldenboy! I can’t believe you came to this city. I’m a big fan!"
"I loved your enthusiasm! Let’s take a photo together after this fight," said Goldenboy.
Then another guy crashed in front of them. He was radiating a black aura and barely looked like a human.
"GOLDENBOY, YOU ARE.. SO RUDE...NOT EVEN LETTING MY SPEECH TO FINISH....BACK....THERE..... HEH DOESN’T MATTER..." said the mysterious guy.
Dariux wondered why this guy was speaking so slowly, while Green seemed to be fanboying even harder.
"Holy Hell. This is CHAOS! Leader of the League of Super Villains. He is the strongest super villain ever!!!"
Chaos then threw a dark energy ball at Goldenboy, which Goldenboy countered with his fist. Then Chaos jumped over him and punched his face to the ground. Goldenboy responded by punching his belly and making him retreat a few meters back. Goldenboy seemed tired and was struggling to get up.
"I can do this all day, Chaos! You will face justice sooner or later!"
"I WILL MAKE YOU FACE REAL DESPAIR," said Chaos, and he slowly approached Goldenboy, but Green kicked Chaos.
"I will never let you hurt Goldenboy!" said Green. He wanted to protect his idol hero, but Chaos punched Green, which made him unconscious.
"I have no idea whats going on here, but you hurt that kid. So you are my problem now, punk," said Dariux, throwing a cigarette at Chaos’s face. That angered Chaos, and he tried to punch with all of his dark energy, but Dariux dodged with his palm. Dariux grabbed Chaos with his energy whip and threw him to the lake. Then he checked Green. He seemed okay. Goldenboy was surprised by Dariux’s powers. He got up and approached Dariux.
"Thanks for your assistance, man; you seem very strong. You should be hero like me someday!" said Goldenboy, smiling.
Then Chaos rose from the lake. He was radiating a lot of dark energy that can send shivers to people.
"I think we need to work together to defeat him," continued Goldenboy.
Chaos unleashed an energy beam towards them, but Goldenboy dodged and Dariux blocked. Goldenboy then flew towards Chaos. Chaos used energy projectiles to prevent Goldenboy from getting closer, but Dariux threw an energy ball to disturb him. This broke his concentration, and Dariux used this opportunity to get close with his energy ropes. Dariux and Goldenboy punched Chaos at the same time. Both of their punches were strong enough to send Chaos into the sky. Chaos fell to the ground. Dariux and Goldenboy did splendid teamwork, despite knowing each other for minutes. Goldenboy offered a handshake.
"I think, I never formally introduced myself. My name is Goldenboy. Leader of Justice Society. Its a famous superhero group; clearly, you heard of it before," said Goldenboy.
Dariux accepted his handshake and said, "No I didnt hear you before and my name is Dariux."
"I never saw someone who could go toe to toe with Chaos before. You are a really strong person. You should think about joining our superhero team."
Dariux kindly refused that offer.
"I gotta go. You have fun in your villain-catching business," said Dariux, and started slapping Green to wake him up. Goldenboy was disappointed with this response.
"Please, League of Villains is too strong, and the city is in danger. My allies are busy elsewhere. You have great power, and you must help me save the city. Thats what good people do!"
Dariux looked at Goldenboy and asked, "How serious is this threat?"
"Fate of the city depends on what league of villains will do next," replied Goldenboy.
Dariux looked at all the destruction that Chaos caused and thought these rogue villains would cause a lot of trouble for the city and his mafia. He accepted Goldenboy’s offer to help.
"I know a safe place. We can go there and coordinate," said Dariux, and Goldenboy accepted. Dariux carried Green and walked towards Neon HQ with Goldenboy.
