Steve/Peggy. Steve/Darcy.
Steve and Peggy marry, she gives up her military career when the children are born and he supports his family as an artist for Thor Comics. As the family grows Uncle Fury buys their house to help with expenses. Tony, Natasha, Jane and Bruce; Rhodey's mother begs Peggy to adopt him; Maria came as a foster child quickly adopted. Peggy becomes ill and puts off her treatment until baby Wanda is born. Uncle Fury hires Mrs. Sif to cook and Mr. Odinson recommends his former maid Darcy to clean. Steve and the children are devastated by Peggy's death. His work hours increase and the children miss him more taking pleasure in running off eighteen nannies with various pranks and shenanigans, sure that their father will be forced to stay home with them. Darcy overheard Mr. Rogers talking to his wife asking for her advice in response to Uncle's ultimatum regarding the care of the house and his immediate remarriage. One night when the children are at their worst Nanny Potts rings the bell, claiming to be a government nanny she gets through to the children in her own unique way.
Uncle Fury comes to evaluate the family and insists on sending one of the girls to a boarding school. The children trick him and send Darcy who takes advantage of a better education. The better behaved children take over Darcy's cleaning duties and sabotage their fathers lunch with Ms. Carter. Steve is forced to tell the children the truth of their situation and they apologize to Ms.. Carter who eagerly comes back...for Uncle Fury's money. Sharon plans the wedding while Steve spends time with his sorely neglected children. Their faces light up playing games with their father but become resigned when Sharon demands his attention.
