The First Visit
The Daily Planet was its usual lively self. Journalists and reporters hustled about, and the hum of office chatter filled the air. Clark Kent, hunched over his typewriter, was deeply immersed in an article when the office door suddenly burst open.
In walked Red Mask, Joker Junior, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, and Poison Ivy. Their distinctive costumes drew stares and whispers from the newsroom. Clark looked up, a warm smile spreading across his face as he recognized them.
“Hey, everyone! What brings you here today?” Clark called out cheerfully, rising from his desk.
Jason Todd, aka Red Mask, took the lead. “Uncle Clark, we’re in a bit of a jam. We need your help with a... family situation.”
Clark tilted his head, intrigued. “What’s going on?”
Tim Drake, dressed as Joker Junior, stepped forward. “Dad’s gotten into this new hobby—restoring classic cars. He’s bought a vintage model, but it’s a mess, and we don’t know the first thing about fixing it.”
Clark chuckled. “A vintage car restoration? That sounds like a fun project. What kind of help do you need?”
Cassandra Cain, the Penguin, chimed in, “We need advice on sourcing rare parts and maybe a recommendation for a good mechanic who specializes in these kinds of cars.”
Clark nodded thoughtfully. “I’ve got a few contacts who can help with that. Let me make some calls and get back to you.”
As Clark made his calls, the rest of the Daily Planet staff exchanged curious glances. Perry White, the no-nonsense editor-in-chief, walked over with a bemused expression.
“Clark, who are these people? And why do they keep asking for your help?” Perry asked.
Clark smiled, leaning back in his chair. “They’re like family to me. I’ve known them for years. They help me out, and I help them.”
Perry raised an eyebrow. “I see. Well, I hope they appreciate the favor.”
Clark gave a reassuring nod. “They do. And it’s always nice to be able to support them.”
The Second Visit
Two days later, the group returned to the Daily Planet, looking more organized and ready. Dick Grayson, as Two-Face, led the way this time.
“Hi, Uncle Clark,” Dick greeted with a friendly wave. “We’ve got another favor to ask. We’re planning a surprise birthday party for Dad.”
Clark’s eyes lit up with interest. “A birthday party? That sounds wonderful. What can I help with?”
Stephanie Brown, dressed as Poison Ivy, took over. “We’re trying to find a venue and caterers. We want to make it special, but we’re a bit overwhelmed with the options.”
Clark nodded, his mind already working. “I can help with that. I know a few excellent event planners and caterers who could make the party unforgettable.”
As Clark started arranging things, Perry White once again approached, curiosity evident. “Clark, you seem to have a special relationship with these people. How did that come about?”
Clark smiled fondly. “We’ve been through a lot together. They’re like family to me.”
Perry shook his head, still trying to wrap his mind around the situation. “Well, it’s good to see you have such a strong support network.”
The Third Visit
A week later, the team showed up again, this time with Cassandra Cain, as the Penguin, leading the charge.
“Uncle Clark,” Cassandra began, “we’re organizing a charity auction for a community project, but we’re having trouble with the logistics.”
Clark’s eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. “A charity auction? That’s a great cause. I can help you with contacts for event organizers and charity specialists.”
Clark quickly provided a list of names and numbers for professionals who could assist with the auction. The team was grateful, and as they prepared to leave, Perry White couldn’t help but inquire further.
“Clark, are you always involved in their projects? Seems like you’re their go-to person for everything,” Perry said with a hint of amusement.
Clark chuckled. “They’ve become a big part of my life. Helping them out is just part of being there for family.”
The Fourth Visit
Another two days passed, and the team arrived at the Daily Planet once more. This time, Damian Wayne, as Mr. Freeze, took the lead.
“Uncle Clark,” Damian said with a serious tone, “we’re hosting a gathering for a group of young heroes. We need assistance with activities and security arrangements.”
Clark’s face lit up with understanding. “That sounds like a wonderful initiative. I can connect you with experts in both event planning and security.”
As Clark made arrangements, Perry White observed from a distance, his curiosity growing.
“Clark, you’re quite the facilitator for these folks. Do you ever take a break?” Perry asked, half-joking.
Clark smiled. “It’s all part of supporting family. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Perry shook his head, still impressed by the extent of Clark’s involvement.
The Fifth Visit
A week later, the team was back at the Daily Planet, this time with Tim Drake, as Joker Junior, at the helm.
“Uncle Clark,” Tim said, “we need some guidance on managing a new team of sidekicks. They’re talented, but integrating them has been challenging.”
Clark listened attentively. “Team dynamics can be tricky. I can recommend a few team-building experts who might be able to help.”
As Clark made a few more calls and provided contacts, Lois Lane, who had been observing the interaction, approached Clark with a question.
“Clark, you seem to be deeply involved with these people. How did your relationship with them start?” she asked.
Clark’s eyes softened. “They’ve been part of my extended family for a long time. Helping them is something I genuinely enjoy.”
Lois nodded, clearly intrigued but not entirely satisfied. “It’s clear you have a special bond.”
The Sixth Visit
Another week later, the team arrived at the Daily Planet for what seemed like a personal favor. Stephanie Brown, as Poison Ivy, took the lead.
“Uncle Clark,” Stephanie began, “we’re planning a small family reunion and need help finding a venue and arranging catering.”
Clark’s face brightened. “Of course. I’ll help you find the perfect location and the best catering services.”
As Clark got to work on the arrangements, Perry White watched with a mix of admiration and curiosity.
“Clark, you’re practically a personal concierge for these folks,”Perry commented, more intrigued than ever.
Clark shrugged with a smile. “They’re family. Helping them out is part of what I do.”
Batman’s Lunch Invitation
A week after their last visit, Bruce Wayne, in his civilian attire, walked into the Daily Planet with a purposeful stride. He approached Clark Kent’s desk, a genuine smile on his face.
“Clark,” Bruce began, extending a hand, “I wanted to thank you personally for all the help you’ve given.”
Clark shook Bruce’s hand warmly. “No need to thank me, Bruce. It’s always a pleasure.”
Bruce’s expression softened. “I’d like to invite you to lunch. My family and I would like to show our appreciation.”
Clark’s eyes lit up. “I’d love that. Thank you.”
At lunch, the team was lively and engaged, sharing stories and laughter. Bruce raised his glass in a toast.
“To Clark,” he said, “for all his help and support.”
Everyone joined in the toast, and Clark raised his glass in return. “To family and to the friends who become family.”
Perry White, who had been invited to join them, watched the camaraderie with a newfound respect. “Clark, you’ve made quite an impact on these people.”
Clark smiled, savoring the moment. “They’re very special to me. I’m grateful for the connection we share.”
In the end, the Kent connection was a testament to the deep bonds of friendship and support. Clark Kent’s role as ‘Uncle Clark’ was more than just a favor—it was a reflection of a deep and cherished relationship with those he considered family.
