Summary
Marlene McKinnon is at the top of her game; She’s carrying her team in soccer, she’s the head of the Queer Club at her school, and she’s got the picturesque friend group her younger self dreamed about. There’s only one problem, College is right around the corner and she has no idea what to write for her essay.
Dorcas Meadowes has it all together; She’s an all A student on her way to graduating Salutatorian, head cheerleader, and she still makes time to volunteer at a soup kitchen every Saturday. Everything would be perfect, if it weren’t for her ex-girlfriend publicly announcing her new relationship.
Looking to get back at her ex, Dorcas turns to the one girl in school she knows neither of them can stand – Marlene McKinnon. They make a deal, Marlene pretends to date Dorcas and in return she helps her write a college essay. It would be perfect, if they both didn’t hate each other's guts.
