    1014. The palace rose from the centre of the city, like the horn of a unicorn spiralling upwards. The perfectly sculpted marble was shining; the crystal depths of the ocean shimmering around it. The home of the Merking, who had invited them to his kingdom to make a treaty. But Asura was sceptical of their dark eyes, and of the way that the merprincess was watching Peter. But ancient things stir in the Depths - things that Narnia should not have forgotten.
