Summary
He nearly vomits when he sees what’s going on. Charlie’s sitting in his bed, a huge pile of what looks like regular Tylenol in his hand. He clearly means to take the whole handful, and maybe more if he can. Nick barely hears Tori cry out from behind him. He’s already on the move. He races over, running faster than he’s ever run during any rugby match, and grabs Charlie’s hand tightly so that he can’t take a single pill in his hands. The move startles Charlie, and Nick uses that to his advantage, swiping his free hand to knock every last one of those god awful pills onto the floor where Charlie can’t reach. Charlie looks up at him, and Nick can’t help but start sobbing in relief that Charlie is okay, and in horror that he had just come so close to losing the one boy he loved more than life itself.
OR
After 1x07, Charlie falls into a deep pit of depression and hasn’t been at school for three days. Nick is naturally very worried about him and goes to his house to make sure he’s okay, only to find Charlie in the middle of a suicide attempt when he gets there.
First Heartstopper Fic and I’ve only seen S1 and a few scenes from S2 so far so please give me some grace as I get a feel for writing these characters.
