Summary
His heart thuds so hard his head feels like it might burst. For once he doesn't think. He doesn't let his mind formulate thousands of scenarios. He doesn't let it cripple him. Guilt can't have him now, Shame can't take him. He doesn't have to move much. Just a shift of his hand. Turning his palm down and inching over. It collides with another hand. Warm and firm....Lestat's fingers twitch. His body jerks, and his chest rises sharply. Then it happens.....Lestat sobs, openly, loudly......brokenly.
Louis feels those long fingers wrap around him. Hands intertwined and they squeeze so hard his bones creek. Needing to be anchored, needing to feel properly, needing the assurance that someone's here. Louis feels fresh warmth spill from his own eyes. His breath hitches and the sound brings the turn of an angels face. Grey eyes tinged with blue seize green orbs. Louis crumbles then unable to hold it. He too cries...for all the pain, all the heart ache, all the guilt, the betrayal, the loss....the love.

Lestat's falling apart, all he wants is Louis back. Expect he knows how to make things worse before he makes them better. With love like a hurricane, it was only clear within the eye of the storm.
