Mr. Lougferd’s Statement About His Son Entering the Steamsledding and Public Scene
by Adeline Karafor
Mr. Lougferd, inventor of The Clockwork Soldiers, recently made a big statement to The Smoky System, a large news outlet, regarding his personal life. On August 7, 78326, during a run-in with their press near the College of Dreamers and Doers, he responded to an ordinary question regarding his whereabouts with, “I have family matters that need to be dealt with, which are not currently available to the public.’ He quickly hurried off without a chance for further interrogation.
The Smoky System was finally able to catch him for an interview on August 11. Further quotes are excerpts from the transcript.
[ INTERVIEWER: The public has been in an uproar for the past few days. Your mother is such a beloved figure, and young bachelorettes are always curious about your romantic situation. Some others, having stating you being seen outside the college, are wondering about a possible child.
LOUGFERD: I’ll skip through all of that. It’s finally the day I’ll be presenting my son to the outside world.
INTERVIEWER, quietly: Oh, congratulations.
LOUGFERD, continued: Tomorrow will be his twentieth birthday. Since he is joining such a prestigious school under such a well known name, there’s little chance of this being kept private for much longer. ]
He goes on further to talk about his son, which he revealed the named of to be Troy Lougferd. Troy will be following in his father’s footsteps attending the college, but we already have gotten a few hints at his personal life.
Troy has an intense passion for steamsledding, and Mr. Lougferd states that he will be joining the Cloudspire team. However, some complications and shadows still linger over the Lougferds’ lives.
[ INTERVIEWER: If I may ask, who’s the mother? We haven’t known about any relationships in years.
LOUGFERD: Of course. His mother is my late wife.
INTERVIEWER: May she rest in peace.
LOUGFERD: May she rest in peace. Regardless, I’ve done my best to care for him, and am sure he’ll be loved by all.
INTERVIEWER: She, as well, played for Cloudspire before her accident, didn't she?
LOUGFERD, sharply: Yes. She did. I'm proud of my son for following in her footsteps. I know he'll make her proud and bring Cloudspire many trophies. ]
As most people know, Mr. Lougferd was recently advocating to pass a decree for changes in the architecture and an addition of more clockwork soldiers for the common public’s health and safety. He, as always, kept it professional when speaking about his projects.
[ LOUGFERD: I care for every person in Wonder, and with what I'm doing, we won't let a single person get hurt that doesn’t have to. My son is my world, and I wouldn’t ever let there be a chance of danger to approach him or those of which he will choose to surround himself with. This is the legacy of which I want to leave. I hope what I can do will keep everyone happy and safe. ]
We all send our best wishes and support to Mr. Lougferd, and wait in anticipation for Troy Lougferd’s first game!
