Summary
It aches, like a cavernous hole in his chest. He wakes up in the night unable to breathe, her name on his lips, her voice in his ears. In brief moments of weakness he considers giving in to the unbearable pull and getting on the first flight back to New York, finding her, never leaving her side again – but she doesn’t want him, she’s made that very fucking clear.
