Aegon knows what’s coming. He’s long past trying to fight it. Not only because he knows he deserves it, but also because he longs for it. He can’t remember when he began craving it, the abuse, the pain, the violence, but he does. It’s the reason he stands up on shaking legs and does as he’s told. Aemond doesn’t care for a show, so Aegon lets himself be as graceless as he feels. Aemond deserves a better mother. Aegon would protect Aemond better. He would protect his little brother enough for the both of them, he would take the pain of it like a good mother should.
