   Summary

   They never mentioned it, not through most of the third stage. As they faced off against Diego Brando in his dinosaur form and against the horde forced on them by Dr. Ferdinand, neither Gyro nor Johnny brought up what that look could have meant.

   Looking back on it, Johnny knew why he hadn't brought it up. He'd been scared, scared of the growing feelings in his chest. Scared of what that meant. Scared that he'd begun to hope for something he couldn't have, scared of the inevitable disappointment.

   Which in hindsight felt foolish.
