    Jisung's face is the first thing he sees when he opens his eyes, just across the bed. It's half shadowed, the only light slanting in from the bathroom, and soft with sleep. Perfectly still. Pretty. Peaceful. Ready to go into the ground.

    But then a puff of air parts his lips, rustles over Minho's skin. A slow, silent inhale, and then it comes again, quick. Life crawling in and crashing out of him.

    Minho touches his fingertips to the knife under his pillow and listens to the whistle of his breath.
