    Alex's personal morals have never been up for debate.

    He'd grown up religious, spending a week each summer at Vacation Bible School and every Sunday at church. He'd been baptized at age 12 and wore a cross around his neck, promising to be the man God wanted him to be as his mother's family watched on proudly.
