His hands fly from where they have been nailed to wrap around his chest. If he closes his eyes and takes a few deep breaths, his sister will come back, gentle fingers and soul, and tell him how great of a job the doctors have done, that he doesn’t need to bother with his bindings anymore. Somewhere, somehow, he wishes he needed bindings again. Then, something else could try to contain the darkness bubbling up inside him, and he'll finally be able to breathe without thinking he'll cry.
