Chapter Text
Rocket had just gotten back from blowing things up. As he’s walking through the street, he spots Sword. “Sword! SWORD!” he shouts, while running towards him. Rocket immediately hugs Sword once catching up with him, which catches Sword off guard. “BACK OFF! Oh, it’s just you. You scared me!” Rocket giggles. “I just really missed you! Anyways, wanna come blow up stuff with me?” “Of course!” says Sword. Rocket takes Sword’s hand, and they start their EPIC journey to blow shit up.
Once they arrive, Rocket finds a nice vantage point to launch bombs. He looks at Sword and smiles. Sword looks off into the distance. Rocket gets his rocket launcher ready. “You should hit that big rock over there. That would be SO COOL.” Sword remarks. Rocket agrees, so he lifts the launcher over his shoulder and fires. The rock explodes into multiple large chunks. “Nice! Let me try!” Rocket hands his rocket launcher over to Sword. “Do you know how to operate it, Sword?” Sword nods. “I think I got this.” Sword fires, but misses his target, injuring a nearby Phighter. “Damn it! I missed!” Sword shouts. “Sword, you hit someone…” Rocket says. “What? Really?” Sword looks back at where he shot, and there’s someone getting up off the ground. “Let’s go check it out.” Sword says.
Rocket and Sword make their way to the injured Phighter. “Shit… My fault…” Sword states. The ambiguous Phighter looks up at the two. “You’re… you’re gonna pay for that…” they remark before throwing an ambiguous projectile at Sword, knocking him over. “Hey!” yells Rocket. He fires a rocket at the unknown Phighter, evaporating them. Rocket turns back to Sword, kneeling down next to him. “Sword! Sword, are you awake?” Sword looks up at Rocket. “Rocket, have I ever told you how much I love you? I really do…” “Sword, stay with me! You can’t leave me!” “Please, Rocket, please… never forget about me… I love you so much.” With that, Sword closes his eyes, becoming unconscious. “Sword! Wake up! SWORD!” Rocket frantically shakes Sword’s body, but to no avail. “No… Please… Come back…” Rocket buries his face in Sword’s chest, crying violently. “Come back… This is all my fault, isn’t it? I never should have taken you out here…” Rocket remains next to Sword’s body for hours, crying, screaming.
That’s it. Let me know if you want a part two where Rocket kills himself.
