Chapter Text
Red opened her room door with a sigh, satisfied to be in her room.
It was shortly after 2:30 as Red flopped onto her bed.
She was alone now. Chloe had history club.
Red how no idea how this school had enough people to start one.
Weirdos.
She'd have the room to herself, which she wasn't really looking forward to. She had grown to appreciate Chloe's company. It wasn't hard. They had been rooming together for 3 months now after they went back in time.
Chloe suggested once that she join a club to cure her boredom. Red had said she'd think about the idea. But people, eh, she'd rather not deal with them if she didn't have to.
She'd consider if they had some sort of att club. She would bear through the social activity if that meant she got a little more time with art.
She could do her homework right now.
Nah, that'd make me more bored.
She'd have to find something to do since she be alone for at least 30 more minutes.
Chloe said she was free to use the TV. Red could give it a shot.
She didn't really know how to work it. There was only an occasional computer back in Wonderland, well, in her original timeliness.
When Red visited Wonderland on her break, it seemed as if technology had always been there. Along with other things they never had. The biggest change was people actually liked her mom. But that topic was for another day. Red was just learning to like her mom herself.
Red moved to the chair that was in the middle of their room. Their decorations above and on their beds were in complete contrast, much like their personalities.
Chloe had decorated her side with multiple vibrant blues, while Red just stuck with deep, rich reds. Much like their room, the girls were learning how to mesh together.
The middle of their room and the spaces they shared, was mostly purple. Like their colors put together, per Red's idea.
She was thankful for that. If the whole room was blue like her princess friend, Red was sure her eyes would bleed.
After Red tinkerer with the violet TV for about 20 minutes, she huffed and gave up. She didn't know something could be so complicated. She'd just ask Chloe for help. She'd know for sure.
For the mean time, Red moved back to her side of the room to start her homework. We'll at least she was going to, until something caught her eye.
"Ooh, Charming left her precious sword." Red said to herself as she looked at the waist piece with the sword and it's sheath
Red was surprised to see it here. Chloe always took it everywhere. Even unescessary places.
Red tried to convince her no one was going to attack her in the bathroom, but she took it with her anyway.
Guess you don't really need a sword for history club.
Red suddenly got an idea to cure her boredom as a smirk made its way onto her face.
She really shouldn't. Chloe was particular about her sword.
Uugh, since when did she care about the consequences. Chloe was too much of an influence.
It was a really nice sword. She'd just put it back before Chloe came back. She didn't have to know.
Red picked up the sword and stood in front of the mirror.
"No wonder Charming takes this eveywhere." Red said as she stood in a fighting stance in front of the mirror
Red picked up the waist band that went along with it and fastened it to her waist.
Mmh, Charming makes it look cooler.
Won't tell her I said that.
Although Red didn't think it fit her, it was a pretty color.
She put the sword in the sheath and then pulled it out again to get in a battle stance.
"Eh, pretty cool. Might have to get me one of these." Red said as she flipped the sword
Suddenly the door opened.
Shoot!
"Hey rommie." Chloe said in her usual upbeat voice
"Oh hey, Charming." Red said as she turned around quickly and shoved the sword behind her back
"What are you doing with my sword?" Chloe asked
"Pshh, what sword?" Red said
"Red, I can see it through the mirror and you're wearing my belt." Chloe said as she pointed to her waist
"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean. I just- Inwas bored and it looked interesting. Please don't yell at me." Red said frantically as she squeezed her eyes shut
That's what her mother did when she did something she wasn't supposed to. Sure Chloe wasn't her mother, but she didn't know anything else.
"Woah, woah I'm not going to Red. I just care about the sword cause my dad gave it to me. But I wouldn't yell at you." Chloe said as she took her hands
"Ok." Red said as she took a deep breath
"But I thought you couldn't stand my side of the room." Chloe said as she smiled up at Red
"Whatever Princess." Red said as she rolled her eyes and tried not to break put into a smile
"I was bored and you make your sword look really cool. So I wanted to try it out." Red said
"Aw, you think I'm cool?" Chloe cooed as she smiled
"That's all you got out of that?" Red said as she looked at her
"The important thing." Chloe said, winking at her
"I'm really sorry. I won't do it again." Red said, still having a slight fear of Chloe being upset with her
She didn't want her to be upset with her. The times she was, Red didn't like it. Only because that was her friend. Not any other reason of course.
"Don't worry about it. Just ask next time. I'd let you touch it since you think it's so cool." Chloe said as she layed on her bed
"You're never gonna let that go, are you?" Red said as she titled her head
"No Red, you literally never compliment me." Chloe said
"I do." Red said, feeling offended
"When? I've never heard it." Chloe said
"Well, in my head." Red said, feeling blush rush to her cheeks, thinking of all the things she thought about Chloe
"Mmh, yeah. Sure." Chloe said
"Well, I'll tell you since you wanna hear it so bad." Red said, not liking the feeling of being confronted
"Go ahead. I'm all ears." Chloe said as she layed on her stomach, with her head in her hands
"Uh, I'll tell you later. I meant." Red said, suddenly feeling shy
"Alright." Chloe said as she shrugged
"But, about your sword, I wouldn't trust me with it Princess. I'm not really a sword's woman." Red said
"I trust you Red. I can teach you." Chloe said heartfeltly
Red felt a smile make it's way on her face. No one had ever been willing to be patient with her, so it meant a lot that Chloe would do something like that for her.
"I'll take you up on that Charming. But teach me about something else." Red said as she sat in the chair by the dest with the small TV on it.
"Yeah, what is it?" Chloe said as she say up
"Well, I couldn't exactly figure out how to work the television." Red said as she read the label on the box
"Just call it Tv. Come on." Chloe said as she chuckled and and say next to Red
"Thanks Charming." Red said as she smiled at her
"No problem Red." Chloe said as she smiled back at her
The rest of the evening they spent their time watching Chloe's favorite movies.
Red was content with learning what Chloe liked. She wanted to know more about her.
