Phoenix walked into the building hearing Maya.
He thought everything was alright... He couldn't be anymore wrong.
As soon as he came in Maya ran to him, tearing up
"Maya?!"
Maya sniffled
"N-Nick! It's Mia! She's gone!"
"Just gone?"
Maya nodded
"Where was she last?"
Maya led Phoenix to the room Mia was in before.
there was a piece of paper on the ground.
When Phoenix picked it up he froze.
"Nick?"
Phoenix stood again.
He knew the language, it could only be from one place.
"Phoenix what's wrong??"
"I... She was summoned Maya."
Maya looked surprised.
"How could my sister get summoned?"
"Very powerful magic. A warlock."
"How do we get to her, Nick?"
Phoenix ruffled her hair and she huffed annoyed
"Just follow me. I know where she was summoned."
Maya smiled as Phoenix wipd her tears.
'I never wanted to go back to that place. But I need to. For Mia.'
Phoenix smiled as Maya ran to get her staff.
Phoenix looked at the note. It turned to cenders...

Phoenix didn't need to see the name to know who it was from.
He would never stay in that kingdom if given a choice. His hand laid on the sword
Maya came out with her staff
"Let's go Nick!!"
Phoenix led them through a forest
"Hey Nick?"
"Yeah Maya?"
"How did you know what the note said? I've never seen that language before!"
"It's from my first kingdom."
Maya got the talk from Mia early on to NEVER ask about Phoenix's past or old kingdom.
Then Maya's eye widened
"WE'RE GOING TO YOUR PAST KINGDOM?!"
Phoenix nodded
"It's where Mia is."
Then Maya got worried
"I can go alone you know!"
"You could. And you would've caught."
"And this won't?"
Phoenix shook his head
"Only two people besides me knows this path. Both don't use this path anymore."
They walked more and had to rest
"Nick you don't have to answer this but. Why do you hate the kingdom so much?"
Phoenix took one of his gloves off
"I'll show you instead."
Phoenix picked up a rock off the ground with the gloved hand.
Maya tilted her head in confusion
Phoenix put in his non gloved hand.
It crumbled as it lit on fire upon touch.
"That's why. Or well one of the reasons why."
"How-"
"Doesn't matter. We really need to get to sleep"
"BUT NIIIICK!"
Phoenix gave her a deadpanned look
"Fineee!"
Phoenix smiled at this and then the two went to sleep.

A bird with unnatrual icey blue eyes looked down at the two.
Just a little bit more.
And he'll be home...
