Summary
Scarlett, a former marine nurse, returns to her hometown of St. Poplar to restore her late great-aunt's rundown hotel. While returning from the store one evening, she is attacked but is saved by Rob Lucci and the rest of CP9, who are on the run from the World Government.
Grateful for their help, Scarlett offers them shelter in exchange for assistance with the hotel's restoration. As they settle into this new life, Lucci begins to develop unexpected feelings for Scarlett. However, he struggles with the possibility of embracing a domestic life after years of being a feared assassin.
Can Lucci and his team find peace in this quiet existence, or will their pasts catch up with them?
