Wangji moans into Jiang Cheng’s mouth, one hand secured around his lover’s neck, the other above their heads, holding on to Jiang Cheng’s, their fingers tightly intertwined.
He presses Jiang Cheng down into the mattress, and sighs against his kiss swollen spit glistened lips.
“I’ve missed you” Jiang Cheng whispers, a small whine escaping his lips when Wangji nips playfully at his neck. Jiang Cheng cranes his head back, giving Wangji room to do as he pleases.
He gasps as Wangji sucks, nips, bites and licks at his neck.
“Missed you too” Wangji sighs, moving up to slot his lips against Jiang Cheng’s once more. He begins to undo his robes, pushing them off his shoulders, while keeping their lips locked. It’s a bit of a struggle, Jiang Cheng so soft and pliant underneath Wangji, unable to do anything but surrender to Wangji. Still, Wangji refuses to stop kissing his lover, even if it is to remove his clothes.
He is a fan of multitasking in bed, anyways.
Once he’s gotten Jiang Cheng’s robes off and tossed aside, Wangji makes his descent down Hiang Cheng’s beautiful toned body, stopping at his chest, placing soft kisses all over, and biting down playfully at his lover’s pebbled nipples.
“Always so sensitive” Wangji hums, smirking up at Jiang Cheng who merely writhes at his ministrations, clutching and clawing the bedsheets.
“Fuck you” he hisses at a particularly harsh nip of teeth.
“Perhaps later” Wangji says with a chuckle. He’s just about to reach Jiang Cheng’s pants when the giant gash of healing skin across his abdomen makes him stop.
“Wh—wha—why’d ahhh” Jiang Cheng pants, “why’d you stop?” he whines. He lifts his head and catches sight of Wangji staring at his now healed abdomen and rolls his eyes.
“Bǎo Bèi”he calls softly, Wangji ignores him and instead leans down to kiss along the faded pink mark, nuzzling his face into Jiang Cheng’s stomach.
“I’m sorry” Wangji mumbles against Jiang Cheng.
“Stop, it’s healed now. I’m okay, I’m here” Jiang Cheng assures him, carding his hand through Wangji’s beautiful soft long black locks.
“I could’ve—should’ve—been faster”
“Small price to pay for the safety of the kids, Wangji, it’s okay” Jiang Cheng tells him.
“I don’t know what I’d have done if I had lost you” Wangji admits, still hiding his face against Jiang Cheng’s stomach.
“Mm, it’s a good thing you didn’t have to find out. Come here” Jiang Cheng pulls Wangji up, shaking his head at the unshed glistening tears in his eyes. Wiping them away, he kisses him soundly and hugs him tightly. “Let go of that guilt, it’s not the first time I’ve been hurt. It won’t be the last time. It comes with the life we lead, so don’t blame yourself. Don’t burden yourself so”
“You are not a burden”
“Not what I meant, but I am glad you don’t think so” Jiang Cheng chuckles.
“I love you” Wangji blurts, then hurries his face in the crook of Jiang Cheng’s neck.
Meanwhile, Jiang Cheng gapes down at him, eyes wide, face flushed and warm at Wangji’s sudden admission.
“W—Wangji!”
“I won’t take it back”
“You—I—what?! You don’t have to, I’m just—surprised I guess” Jiang Cheng breathes out.
“I realized, that day. I was so afraid. My beloved was almost taken from me, and I hadn’t the chance to tell him” Wangji looks up, pushing himself up and over Jiang Cheng. “I love you”
Unable to take the heat of Wangji’s loving gaze, Jiang Cheng rose up to kiss him roughly, a little choked up with tears threatening to spill out of his eyes.
I love you, too, he thinks.
