Lyric Starts To Get A Taste Of Hell

Summary:

Anon asked for Vox and Alastor's reaction to Lyric being stalked

Notes:

Sable is not my OC! She belongs to an anon on Tumblr (Y'all really got to come out with a username so I can properly credit T^T)

Work Text:

Vox and Alastor noticed at the same time when Lyric began to act strange. The sparkle in her eyes was gone and she almost always had her ears dropping. Deer typically didn't hold them high like Alastor did, but it was just a little too low for them to feel comfortable, especially Alastor. If anyone could understand deer body language, it would be the other deer.

It was clear by the weird face Alastor gave Lyric that the vibes were completely off.

“Do you think the hellborns at school don't like her?” Vox asked quietly as he watched Lyric run up the stairs.

“That much is obvious.” Alastor scoffed. “I think it's something much deeper though.” Alastor snapped his fingers and soon his shadow appeared.

“Alastor.” Vox warned. “We promised to not stalk her. She is a teenage girl who deserves her privacy.”

“Something is wrong, Vox!” Alastor argued.

“No. Let her come to us about the problem. She might want to solve it on her own. If she starts to get worse, then we'll see what's going on.” Vox rubbed Alastor's shoulders reassuringly. “Come on, we're strong, Al, she's no doubt just as powerful as us. She can kill any bully she wants.”

Alastor's ears drooped a bit. “I guess.” He sighed, his smile still plastered on his face despite the defeated look in his eyes.

Vox pressed a gentle kiss to Alastor's cheek and returned his attention back to his phone, continuing to write out that stupid fucking email Velvette had demanded.

Lyric looked over her shoulder once more. That man was still there. Staring at her. His red eyes glowed in the darkness.

“He's still there.” Lyric whispered to Sable.

Her guard looked over her shoulder and stared directly at the man who was now liking his lips. “I can kill him.” Sable pointed out dryly. “Just say the word, Lyric and I'll rip out his intestines.”

“No.” Lyric shook her head. “I… think I should tell my parents.” Lyric gave a shy look to her best friend. “Papa and Dad can give me advice.”

“They will kill him.” Sable rolled her eyes. “They don't play games, Lyric. They'll turn it into a lesson for everyone.”

“Yeah well, maybe that's what I want.” Lyric huffed a bit.

Before Sable could respond, rapid footsteps approached them. Both the girls spun around, fear in their eyes as the man was now barely a few steps away from them. He was an aquatic sinner. He was barely wearing any clothes, his eyes a bright red. An overlord, clearly. His sins glowed in the darkness as he eyed the two girls up and down.

“Far from home?” He asked with a chuckle. “Two little ladies like you shouldn't be alone in Hell. Never know what type of freaks you'll run into.” His voice dropped down to a husky purr. “I can escort you ladies back home. I can keep you safe.”

Lyric opened her mouth to say something, but Sable stepped forward, his eyes narrowed. “Actually Princess Lyric doesn't need any assistance.”

“Oh! So this is the princess I heard so much about.” The sinner leaned to the side a bit to leer at her. “Quite a lovely young lady.”

Lyric's flattened a bit. Sable stepped forward, shoving her face right into the overlord’s. “She is under the protection of King Lucier, Queen Lilith, and Princess Charlotte, not to mention her parents, Prince Alastor and Prince Vox and myself. If you make one more comment towards her, I will harm you and make you wish you never came to Hell.” Sable snarled as she spoke. “Now back off!”

The overlord narrowed his eyes but took a step back regardless. “Very well.” He inhaled sharply. “Run along. Try not to get hurt on your way home.” With that he turned around and stalked back into the shadows.

Sable stared after him before she looked to Lyric. “He's trapped our way home.” She muttered to the Princess. “Connect to Vox and make him bring us home. You are not safe.”

Lyric nodded, her eyes wide. She reached out to her Papa through the radio waves, and without a second delay, dark shadows consumed them and brought them to the lobby in the Hazbin Hotel.

Alastor and Vox were staring down at them with worry in their eyes.

“What happened?” Vox asked.

Lyric looked at Sable for a second before she stood up straight. She inhaled shakily and then ran towards her parents. She pulled them into a tight hug and began to sob.

Even more alarmed, Alastor scooped up his little girl and held her close to his chest. She curled into him even more while Vox pulled Sable into a hug.

“Oh dear. Whatever happened?” Alastor asked as he pressed kisses into Lyric's hair.

“A man tried to walk us home. He's been following us for weeks now.” Sable explained. “Lyric asked me to not harm him, but he was acting strange today and even spoke to us. I think he had sinners on our way home to jump us. He's an overlord.”

Vox's eye twitched. “Which one?”

“A fish?” Sable sounded more confused. “I think?”

“Well he's about to be fucking sushi.” Vox spat. He guided Sable to Alastor and narrowed his eyes. “Babysit them.” Vox ordered.

Alastor just nodded his head and watched as Vox disappeared with a bright flash of electricity, a small burn spot now on the wooden floor.

Alastor sat down on the couch and pulled his two girls close to him as he waited for the inevitable.

The T.V. flickered to life, Vox was staring it down with a dark look to his eyes. On the table next to him was the overlord that had approached their daughters.

Alastor looked at Sable and Lyric for a split second. Sable was made by Lucifer to protect Lyric, so she would probably be fine with murder, but Lyric was a lot like Charlie and tries to resolve things peacefully.

Lyric looked up at her Dad with wide, wary eyes. Alastor sucked in a breath before he waved his hand. A pair of headphones Covered Lyric’s ears, making sure to make them sound canceling so she wouldn't hear what Vox was about to do. She didn't question it and instead hid her face in Alastor’s chest once more.

Vox started speaking, his gaze shifting to stare down their fellow overlord. “Hello Hell. I know this is typically Alastor’s style, but someone has been stalking my little girl recently and I fear I need to remind you all who her parents are and what we will do to keep her safe.” Vox moved as fast as lightning as he stabbed a knife into the sinner’s foot. A loud scream could be heard echoing in the room.

“My daughter may not like fighting or hurting you guys, but me, Alastor, and Lyric’s guard have no issue killing to keep her safe.” Vox pulled the knife back out of the overlord and rammed it into the next leg. “Little Overlord Joseph is learning the hard way.” Vox’s grin turned predatory. “You know what? Alastor's been running low on flesh.”

Alastor looked down at Sable. She was watching with wide eyes, enraptured by the display Vox was showing.

Vox raised the knife over his head and before anything happened, the television flickered off.

“What? What happened?” Sable looked at Alastor in confusion, a frown on her face.

“Vox didn't want you to see it.” Alastor shrugged. “He's harvesting flesh. It tends to get messy.”

“I wanted to watch.” Sable frowned.

“Maybe next time.” Alastor shrugged.

Definitely not next time.

“Let's get you two to bed.” Alastor stood up, still holding Lyric and grabbed Sable by her shirt collar. He dragged her up the stairs so he could tuck them in.

Vox was still covered in blood by the time Alastor retired to their room. He was clearly getting ready for a bath, muttering under his breath.

“I appreciate the fresh food.” Alastor made his presence known before pulling Vox into a tight hug. “I also find you extra beautiful right now.”

Vox turned his head to stare at Alastor with a raised brow. “What the fuck do you want?” Vox asked.

Alastor licked a bit of blood off Vox’s neck, revealing the bite mark he left. He gave Vox a predatory grin. “Well, right now I'm interested in all that blood you have on you.”

“Do you… want to have a bath with me?” Vox asked.

Alastor pressed right up against Vox and purred. “I want to lick that blood off of you first.”

“Kinky.” Vox snickered.

Alastor pulled back sharply. “Not in a sexual way!” He scowled.

Vox rolled his eyes. “Don't make it sound sexual then!”

“Well don’t have a dirty mind!” Alastor countered.

“Guilty as charged.” Vox winked at his husband.

Alastor rolled his eyes, but his smile softened a bit. “Yeah, I'll have that bath with you.”

“Fuck yeah!”
