Toya had known Akito for about a year since they first formed BAD DOGS. With every day passing they were getting closer and closer to each other to the point that personal space didn't exist between them. Whenever Toya was sitting down akito would always sit beside him, closing the distance, their arms and thighs touching.
None of them though seemed to mind. They were comfortable with each other and thats what only mattered. Aside that, both of them would always find a stupid reason to touch the other. It was like they were craving for that milisecond of warmth of the other. For example, when Akito offered Toya a bag of chips, Toya grabbed the bag from where Akito was holding it, making their fingers touch.
Both of them always found these moments special. Even if they kept happening over and over again. They were singing buddies, partners, best friends and yet Akitos heart skipped a beat whenever Toya smiled at him, or even look at him, laugh, talk, exist beside him. He really shouldn't be feeling like that. Especially towards a guy, and that guy being toya. Who is so perfect.
Very very very perfect. Akito had never met such a person as Toya. Yet it was wrong. He just couldn't feel like that for toya, but he just couldn't help himself. He would always get mesmerized by him. His partner. The only person who knew him the best. The only person he knew he could tell everything without getting judged about it. Oh how he sometimes wished that toya felt the same. Not sometimes. Always.
Toya was getting dressed up. Today was a very special and stressful day. He and Akito had agreed to go once again to the same cafe they always hang out to eat. He was wearing white jeans that were a little bit baggy, a black shirt that covered his neck and his iconic silver necklace.
He was very nervous cause he decided that today is the day that he ends it all. He really didn't want Akito to figure this out by himself, except if he has already, which toya begged he doesn't. He would confess. How? He didn't know yet. But he had promised to himself and the tenma siblings that he would in the end of the day, no matter what.
It was about 7. The sun was setting. Toya went out to his balcony and watched the sky to switch colours. Orange. It reminded him of Akito. Oh akito.. will he really be okay with this? What if..? No. Whatever is meant to happen will happen. He shouldn't make himself more nervous than he already is. He packed his bag and got downstairs. Thankfully his dad was working upstairs and his mother was cooking dinner.
"Mom, i will out today"
"With who?"
"Akito"
"Mhm.. have fun"
Toya nodded before heading towards the entrance. He wore his shoes and waved his mom a goodbye before opening the front door. And there he was. Akito, waiting for him, listening to music and scrolling through his phone.
Toya smiled at the sight. He tapped carefully Akitos shoulder, trying not to scare him.
"Hey"
"Yo.. how are ya?"
"Im good, you? Were you waiting long?"
"Nuh dont worry bout it. Wanna listen to music?"
"Sure"
Toya smiled, happily accepting the over of the other earbud. Akito switched playlist and pressed the one that he had specifically made for when he listened to music with toya. Inside they were songs that they have covered or just songs that reminded him of toya.
They made their way to vivid street towards the cafe, to go grab dinner. Both of them were giving glances to each others outfits until akito finally broke the comforting silence.
"Your outfit today 's pretty nice"
Toya blushed at the compliment and lower his head a bit before saying thank you. He complimented akitos outfit back before silence filled the room between them. Not that it was a lot. Their shoulders were blushing on each other.
Finally after q couple of minutes they arrived at the café. They both entered, picking a table to sit, in an area which didn't have a lot of people since akito didnt like noise stuff. They ordered and then started ranting about random things. Anything they could thing of, which kept the conversation going until their food came. Both of them had order a fancy crêpe filled with cheese, ham and eggs. It was really good.
Akito seemed to devour the thing in seconds, considering if he should get a second one. Toya on the other hand was taking his sweet time to eat his crepe. He was kinda full already from the snacks he had at home and since Akito seemed still hungry he offered to share.
Akitos eyes lit up in excitement, but he tried to answer as calm as possible. Rejecting at first the offer hoping toya would ask him again and he did.
"Thanks a lot toya"
"Dont mention it, either way im getting full"
Both of them continued eating for a little while. After their food they chatted for a bit more before calling the waiter for the recite. Both of them wanted to pay for each other and ended up arguing about it.
"Take my money please"
"No, my card"
"Eh.."
The waitress ended up taking the money, since she was afraid that akito would do something to her if she didn't take his money. He seemed pissed. On the other hand, toya got pissed, he wanted to pay. It was his turn.
"Why did you pay akito?! It was my turn.."
"Just leave it to me this once please."
"Why? It's not like we celebrate something to be a special day?"
They continued talking while walking out of the shop and continuing their way to the park they usually practice. Akito blushed at toyas words, he didnt know how to answer without making it weird. He spaced out.
"A--o?"
"To"
"Akito?!"
"A-a sorry i spaced out. What were you saying?"
"Nothing, here sit down, i will go get us something to drink"
"Thanks"
Akito sat down the bench watching toya walk towards the venting machine. He should tell toya. It was night. They were alone. Even if.. if the worst scenario comes nobody will see him getting embarrassed amd ashamed.
"Here"
Toya handed him a can of soda. Akito thanked hik before opening the can with a 'click' sound and taking a sip of his drink. Toya had bought himself an orange juice. Both of them were staring at the moonlight. The night was beautiful.
Akitos gaze moved from the moon to his moon. Toya. He was so beautiful. Suddenly Toya looked at him back. Their faces inches apart. They were stuck staring at each other. Toya wanted so bad to just lean in and let it happen but he was so scared.
Thats why he was so thankful that akito was more brave than him. He leaned in slowly his eyes looking back and forth at his eyes and mouth. Tiya got the Hint. His heartbeat started going fatser and faster. He sometimes felt like it skipped a beat or two, but he didn't care, he was so close to kiss akito.
Once their lips both of them melted at the warmth. Akito felt butterflies going off inside his full stomach. He gently placed his palm against toyas left cheek and pushed him deeper. He titled his head more, wanting more or the other. After a couple more seconds they pulled out, staring at each other, flustered.
Akito realised what he had done and got up quickly covering his mouth. Did he fuck up?
"I-i im sorry toya. I.. i just.."
"I like you"
Toya interapted him.
"What..?"
Akito needed a bit of time to process this.
"I-..i like you akito.."
Toya said with less confidence than before.
"I-i do too toya. I-i"
Akitos body was shaking from the adrenaline.
"I like you too"
He smiled warmly before sitting beside him again hugging him and bringing him as close as possible.
"I've liked you since the begging.. toya"
Toya blushed. He felt his face so hot, he wanted to say so much yet he couldn't, he just hugged akito back tightly.
"So that means that.. we are boyfriends now..?"
Toya asked shyly.
"If ya want"
"Of course I want"
Toya said with the most lovely eyes. He leaned in once again kissing akitos cheeks this time. Making the other blush. He was so happy.
