Work Text:
Percy Jackson was a lot of things.
He was smart, powerful, good-looking, a lover of blue and he was bored.
He was so irrevocably, agonisingly bored.
"Annabeth," he whined, resting his head on his girlfriend's shoulder. "Will you come spar with me?"
"It's seven in the morning, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth retorted, not even glancing up from her coursework. "Go away, I'm studying."
"I never thought I'd see the day I came second to a textbook," Percy announced dramatically with an overexaggerated kiss to Annabeth’s cheek.
"It's a textbook I'm studying so I can go to university with you, numbskull. Go find Jason or Nico or whoever else is weird enough to want to stab people before breakfast."
"Fine." Percy stuck out his tongue. Annabeth sighed with a fond smile and turned around in the chair made specifically for the desk she had taken over in the Posiden Cabin. She leaned up and gave him a kiss.
"I'll be finished in a couple of hours," she promised.
"For a few minutes and then it'll be time for the afternoon session," Percy teased. Annabeth flushed a light pink.
"The afternoon session is important!"
"Alright!" Percy laughed, kissing her gently. "Love you, Wise Girl. Even if you are kicking me out of my own cabin."
"Love you too. Now, go!"
Still laughing, Percy darted out. There were a few campers running around but most were sleeping in late. It was a Saturday after all.
Percy didn't bother going to see Jason. He'd seen him and Piper getting a little handsy the night before and he didn't think Piper went to the Aphrodite Cabin after the campfire. There were a lot of things Percy wanted to see in his lifetime such as a few hundred sunsets, his sister going to college, Grover going a day without eating a can and hopefully someday his ring on Annabeth’s finger. Jason and Piper doing questionable things without clothes on wasn't one of them. The last time he walked in on that he got electrocuted.
That left Nico and Nico was probably a safe bet. There was no way he would be awake by now but Percy had appointed himself as Nico's older brother and part of the older brother duties were waking Nico up at a reasonable time. He had so far been unsuccessful but fourteenth time lucky.
Besides, before today, he didn't have his ambush planned.
Usually, he would knock on the door and hear Nico’s loud "go away" and if he didn't leave then a skeleton would escorts him out. However, today was different. If Nico wouldn't come willingly then Percy would drag him out of bed.
With a triumphant grin, Percy threw the Hades Cabin door open and turned on the lights.
"Wakey, wakey! Rise and shine!"
"What the fuck!" A person shot up, tense and ready to fight, arms stretched protectively outwards, shielding something.
Percy's face dropped. "Will?"
Will's eyes landed on Percy with a sheepish smile as he motioned to keep the noise down. Redness dusted his freckles and he ran a hand through his messy hair with a yawn.
"Hi, Percy," he said, keeping his voice low.
"What are you doing here?" Percy asked.
"Shh." Will winced, gesturing to a shape clinging to his side. The shape made a noise and wrapped it's arms around Will’s waist.
"What are you doing here?" Percy repeated in a harsh whisper.
"What are you doing here?" Will asked, one hand crossing over his bare stomach and the other going to stroke through the mop black hair on the shape beside him. By now, Percy had deduced that the shape was his honourary little brother.
"Why aren't you wearing a shirt?" Percy demanded. His mouth hung open in horror. "You aren't... au natural are you?"
"No!" Will was so embarrassed he started to glow slightly. "I'm not naked! I'm fifteen. I was having a nice sleep until you barged in and I haven't seen Nico sleep for this long in ages so please don't wake him up."
"You still haven't answered why you're in Nico’s bed," Percy snapped, his defense lowering a little.
"Who wouldn't want to be in Nico’s bed? Look, he's so sleepy."
"I don't care if he's sleepy!" Percy flailed his arms around. "You're not going to want to be in his bed in approximately three seconds if you don't explain."
"Okay!" Will held up a placating hand. "I was here for cuddles."
Percy crossed his arms and frowned.
"I was!" Will protested. "Nico was tired after the campfire so I came to say goodnight and he dragged me into bed with him and he looked so cosy and he told me I was warm and curled up and I just fell asleep."
"Are you dating?"
"Yeah," Will answered with a proud smile. "We are."
Percy spluttered. "Dating people aren't allowed to share a bed! You can't deflower Nico!"
"Please never say that sentence again," Nico’s tired voice grumbled. He raised his head to rest on Will’s thigh, giving it a short kiss and moving even closer to his boyfriend’s leg.
"Hey, darling." Will shot a glare at Percy but faced Nico with a beam. "Sleep well?"
"I was until Aquaman came to visit. What do you want, Percy?"
"I came to see if you wanted to spar." Percy gaped. Nico groaned and sat up.
"Alright. Will has a shift at the infirmary soon anyway."
He began to clamber over Will, stopping when he was straddling him to give him a gentle kiss. Will nudged their noses together.
"Have fun, sweetheart."
"I will," Nico promised.
"Not too much fun. The infirmary is busy as it is."
"I know." Nico got off his boyfriend’s lap, leaning down to give him a longer kiss that Percy was a little uncomfortable to be present for.
"Love you."
"Love you too."
Nico casually grabbed his sword and Percy followed him out the door.
"Wait, is that Will’s shirt?"
"Yep."
"When were you going to tell me about this?!"
