“Will you wait for me?” asks Erwin. “Promise to keep no other in your heart.” He knows he is demanding too much, but a soldier sent to war holds no qualms about greed, so he asks for the world to be given to him. He asks for Levi.
Levi returns his gaze, unwavering, and gives an almost imperceptible nod. “There will be no other but you,” he vows, voice low and steady. “Forever.”
