   Summary

   New York, 1981. Death by nuclear evisceration is a given to the majority of those in New York. Interest rates are up, stocks are down, and the preacher man on the corner of the street says it's the end of the world.

   But Lester Leighton, a hardboiled homicide detective doesn't really care if it's the end of the world. A string of murders that has landed on his lap draws him into an international conspiracy unlike anything he's ever solved, forcing him to find strange comrades and face stranger foes, as he embarks from New York to a global adventure to solve the greatest mystery of his life.
