Work Text:

Kakavasha convinced Veritas to go with him outside. On a picnic middle of the night, he insisted “The stars are so pretty at night”

Packing some sandwiches for them, a bottle of water, books to read, a checkerboard blanket and a basket to put everything inside. Kakavasha ran out in the moonlight, holding Veritas hand as he dragged him outside.

The young Avgin boy leads him to a field, running a head he giggles looking over at Veritas.

“Veve! Over here” Kakavasha exclaimed excitedly, waving his arms.

Bringing the basket with goods over, Veritas takes out the blanket after putting the basket down on the ground. Kakavasha helps him by taking the other end of the picnic blanket, placing it onto the grass, he runs off into the field crouching down as he picks something off the ground.

Deciding not to disturb him, Veritas takes out a book reading it as Kakavasha enjoys picking flowers in the field, coming back with his hands full of flowers. Sitting down next to Veritas, the Avgin boy ties the flowers together, making a flower crown. Hoping that the other will accept it, the moonlight is bright tonight, stars filled in the sky.

Kakavasha can’t help but steal glances at Veritas, when he concentrates on his book he gets so adorable. He had been wanting to bring Veritas out to show the stars for a while. He had finally built up the courage to ask him to come out with him, he and his sister do this all the time, so doing this with the other one will be fun. His sister said homemade gifts are the best, Veritas will look like a pretty princess with this then he can be the prince that sweeps him off his feet like the fairy tales sister reads to him all the time.

After finishing his master work, it’s a bit messy yet the Avgin boy hopes it’s enough. Looking over at the other one, he had put down his book and started eating a sandwich, placing the flower crown on top of his head.

Veritas reaches towards the flowers placed in his hair, looking over at Kakavasha wondering why he put it on his head.

Swallowing his food, Veritas asks “For me?”

Kakavasha nods, smiling hugging his knees close “A crown for a pretty princess”

“I’m not a princess” he counters.

“Well…” Kakavasha ponders, a slight pout on his face as he thinks on what to say “You’re a princess to me”

“Why?” Veritas raises an eyebrow confused, why would he be a princess? If anything he should be the prince.

“You’re pretty” Kakavasha blushes with a smile “Smart, kind and and I want to be your prince”

“My prince?”

“Mhm!” He nods, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek, he grabs a sandwich himself to hide his embarrassment.

Veritas face flames up, touching the spot where Kakavasha kissed. It seems he doesn’t mind being Kakavasha’s princess if he is his prince, he presses a kiss on Kakavasha’s soft cheeks.

Face red he clears his throat “I wouldn’t mind you being my prince”

Kakavasha’s face lights up, he nods, pulling the other close as he peppers his face with kisses.

“I’ll be the best prince you ever had!” He promises.
