Summary
Nobunaga stops walking, so the rest of them come to a stop too. He doesn’t say anything at first, just looks at Gon with discerning eyes.
“You’re a runaway, aren’t you?” He says, and doesn’t wait for Gon to answer. “It’s pretty clear you have nowhere to go. Now, that shouldn’t be any of my business, but I wasn’t lying to you earlier when I said you were talented. I think you have real potential, kid.”
“You think I could…be a thief?” Something occurs to him then, that he probably should’ve realized earlier. Or maybe he did, and just didn’t want to think about it then. “You guys are criminals, right?”
“We’re not just any common criminals,” Nobunaga says, seeming offended, except—he’s smiling a little, so he’s just pretending to be offended. “We’re the Spiders.”
