“May I?” The man blinks. Alex crouches down while the man’s eyes widen comically. He wants to laugh. Yet, he picks up the phone and places it back on the table. With an easy smile, he says, “Hi.”
Alex is not shy. Cameras have been shoved at his face since he was sixteen. He is definitely not shy, instead he is known for his loudmouth—his flamboyance. But what he is, is an idiot, well, a circumstantial idiot and now Zahra will kill him, nobody will ever find his body because he is flirting with a possible fan—a fan who kind of looks like two seconds away from passing out.
Please don’t pass out on me , Alex tells himself.
Then he stands up and watches as the initial shock slowly melts away from the man’s face. The tension in his expression eases, replaced by a softness that begins to reveal itself in the curve of his lips and the quiet light in his blue eyes. There’s a hint of confidence in his gaze.
