Work Text:
Iris was about to leave the office of Picture News when the storm hit.
Rain tumbled from the sky and thunder rumbled loudly overhead as the wind whistled past.
The storm had hit quickly and Iris hesitated in the doorway, reluctant to set out into the sheets of water.
Lightning cracked in the distance. One bolt, two, three, brilliant blue against the black sky.
Yellow flashed so bright, so close, only a few streets away.
Barry should have left work hours ago.
Yet concern seemed to arrive regardless.
She waved for a passing cab and pushed it from her mind.
