Summary
There was something almost cathartic in the planning of a death, especially of someone who no longer existed. The slow deliberation of thoughts, painstakingly peeling back every layer of thought, turning them over and over and over again to make sure nothing was missed. Taking a garbled mess and forcing it to straighten into something orderly that could be properly examined and planned before it was shredded apart. Once emotions are removed, thoughts turn themselves into simple pieces of logic and fact. Emotions have always been messy, complicating factors best packed away into a box for a later date. Pure logic allows for death to be planned relatively easily, sans a few logistical matters.
Pure logic said that Sasuke was a threat who needed to be neutralized.
Pure logic said that Sasuke was no longer the person who left caring about his team and Village.
Pure logic said that the person Sakura had been assigned to target wasn’t Sasuke.
Pure emotion said that Sasuke had made Sakura promise she’d kill him.
