    Instead of Renee running off with Bella, Renee ran off and left Bella with Charlie.

    Bella had only spent 2 weeks each summer with her mom until the end of 8th grade, when she moved to Phoenix for better opportunities than Forks High School could offer. However, her new stepdad's job and Renee's unhappiness drive her to return home in the middle of her Junior year.

    This is a retelling of Twilight with major, major canon divergence. Bella is a very different person, she has established friendships, and she genuinely likes Forks. Also, no werewolves, and vampires have actual weaknesses and don't sparkle, plus the Cullens are like normal wealthy, not owns an island wealthy.
