Emily (Seraphim in training) was ecstatic when Sir Pentious stood in front of her and her mentor Sera (Head Seraphim), excited that there was finally evidence that souls could be redeemed. What confused Emily the most was why Sera didn't want anyone, including the Archangels to know about Sir Pentious's redemption. It had been five weeks since Sir Pentious had arrived, and Emily was happily chatting with him when Cherri Bomb appeared in front of them. "Miss Cherri Bomb? Is that you?" Sir Pentious asked, tearing up at seeing the love of his life. "You better believe it, bitch!" she responded with her usual cocky grin. Looking confused, she asked him, "Where the fuck are we, and how are you still alive?" Seeing that Sir Pentious was unable to answer, Emily excitedly answered for him. "You're in heaven! You and Sir Pentious have both been redeemed." Cherri's mouth dropped open in disbelief. "What the fuck! Are you serious?" Cherri asked in disbelief as Sir Pentious embraced her in a tight hug. Emily nodded as Cherri was busy trying to pry Sir Pentious off. With a resolved and determined look on her face, Emily said, "I am a Seraphim too! Let’s go introduce you to the rest of heaven!"

Meanwhile, in another part of heaven, Sera was having a meeting with Lute and Lilith about Sir Pentious's arrival and the Hazbin Hotel. "Your daughter is destroying the natural order," Lute said coldly to Lilith. "If you wish to remain in heaven, you need to return to Hell and put a stop to this ridiculous venture of hers!" Crossing her arms across her chest, Sera sighed, turning around to look out the window. "As much as I hate to agree with Lute, she is right. Order needs to be restored, and the extermination needs to continue." "You know very well that spawn of Lucifer is not my daughter!" Lilith hissed. “Lucifer is her mother, not me!” This was news to Lute, who was looking at Lilith with raised eyebrows. “If you’re not the Princess’s other parent, who is?” Lute asked, her voice full of disbelief. “After we divorced, Lucifer hid among the world of the living. He married a mortal, a man named Alastor Hartfelt; that man is Charlie’s father. If Lucifer hadn’t tried to banish me, I wouldn’t have erased their memories of each other or our divorce,” Lilith finished, smiling happily at the memory. “Enough. We don’t need a trip down memory lane,” Sera said, pinching her nose in frustration. “We need a plan to deal with that ridiculous hotel.” “Speaking of Lucifer’s spawn, it would appear his eldest daughter, Emily, is no different from her mother and sister. Your little apprentice is showing Sir Pentious and recently arrived Cherri Bomb around heaven.” Lilith said, sneering at Sera. “Emily is not your problem. If I were you, I would rather worry about the deal you made with Adam. Or did you forget your ex and hell have no idea that you betrayed them? Authorizing the extermination in order to remain in heaven, and are the new lieutenant of the Exorcists?" Lute cackled at this comment before saying in a sombre voice, "We wouldn't be having this conversation if your little pet had sabotaged the hotel like you ordered him to." "Don't worry, Alastor will be paying dearly for his disobedience. I will make sure he suffers when I rip his soul apart in front of him in a slow and painful manner." "Then we are all in agreement," Sera concluded, "Lute will accompany Lilith to hell and deal with Charlie, Alastor, and the hotel, while I deal with Emily's disobedience."

Emily was running towards the conference room; Sera had told Emily that she was going to have an important meeting with Lute and not to be disturbed. But Emily couldn't wait to tell her mentor about Cherri and how everyone had welcomed her and Sir Pentious with open arms. She was about to open the door but paused when she heard Lute say, "Your daughter is destroying the natural order." Emily covered her mouth in shock; she listened intently, intending to tell Charlie everything. Emily felt faint as she heard Lilith say, "You know very well that spawn of Lucifer is not my daughter!" Lilith hissed. “Lucifer is her mother, not me!... After we divorced, Lucifer hid among the world of the living. He married a mortal, a man named Alastor Hartfelt; that man is Charlie’s father. If Lucifer hadn’t tried to banish me, I wouldn’t have erased their memories of each other or our divorce.” Emily's face paled, and tears ran down her face as she found out the truth about her parentage. She had always thought that, like Sera, she had popped into existence, but finding out Lucifer is her mother was a big shock. Emily took a deep, calming breath as she heard Sera say, “Emily is not your problem. If I were you, I would rather worry about the deal you made with Adam. Or did you forget your ex and hell have no idea that you betrayed them? Authorizing the extermination in order to remain in heaven, and are the new lieutenant of the Exorcists?" How could Lilith do that to her people? Emily hid as the occupants filed out, and with a determined look on her face, she intended to inform her uncles and aunts.

Emily took a deep breath before knocking nervously. "Enter," she heard the authoritative voice of the Archangel Michael (Leader and Warrior, Lucifer’s twin). Emily entered tentatively to see her aunts and uncles: Archangel Azrael (Angel of Death), Archangel Gabriel (Messenger), Archangel Raguel (Justice and Redemption), Archangel Raphael (Healer and Traveler), Archangel Remiel (Hope), and Archangel Uriel (Wisdom and Truth). They were seated at a conference table discussing the latest developments among the living. "Emily, this better be important. We’re in the middle of a meeting," Michael said, looking in her direction. "It is," Emily answered nervously. "I am here to talk about stopping the extermination and how Charlie’s idea about redeeming sinners is working." "What exterminations?" Raguel asked, giving Emily a sharp look. "And sinners been redeemed?" Remiel asked, confused. Emily realized that they didn’t know either and told them everything from the trial to the arrival of Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb, and how she found out the truth about Lucifer being her and Charlie’s mother. Remiel sat there in shock. Being the Archangel of Hope, she couldn't understand why Sera would want to hide this. "You did the right thing, bringing this matter to our attention. We will deal with this promptly," Raguel said gravely. Standing outside the chamber door, Emily felt something burning in her heart, something she hadn't felt before: anger. After speaking to Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious, she informed them of what had happened and that they would be staying with Molly (Angel Dust's twin sister). Emily knew what she had to do: confront Sera first before letting Charlie know what was going on in heaven. Taking a deep breath, she walked in the front door of the house she shared with Sera.

As Emily closed the door behind her, there was a shocked silence. “Are we so out of touch that we don’t even know what is going on in heaven and hell? I did not even know our brother had another daughter,” Uriel lamented. “It would appear so,” Remil answered gravely. “I always assumed Sera had told Emily the truth about Lucifer being her mother and that Emily would come to one of us when she was ready,” Gabriel added sadly. Raguel frowned in disapproval. “I expected this type of behaviour from Adam but not Sera. We need to deal with Sera, and one of us needs to go and speak to Lucifer.” “Very well,” Michael began. “Uriel and Raguel will deal with Sera, while I go and speak to Lucifer.” Raphael sighed. “It will be better if I go speak to our brother; he will not welcome you in his realm. After all, you were the one that banished him.” “You know very well that I had no choice. I was merely following Father’s orders!” Michael snapped. Uriel put a placating hand on his brother’s shoulder. “We know that, but it would be best if Raphael went; Lucifer is more likely to let him in the front door than you.” Michael nodded reluctantly; he missed his twin and wanted to beg for his forgiveness. “Very well, let it be so.”

The sun had already disappeared behind the horizon when Sera finally reached home to find that none of the lights were on. Annoyance crossed her face as she thought that Emily had gone to see Sir Pentious without her permission. Frustrated, she rubbed her forehead and noticed an envelope on the kitchen table, sealed with an official stamp. Intrigued, she opened the official envelope, and her expression turned pale as she read the summons from Uriel and Raguel commanding her presence the following day. She sat down as her knees gave way; her head whipped around as she heard Emily's voice. "How could you do this to me? Why didn’t you tell me that Lucifer is my mother?" she asked angrily. Sera sighed before saying in a dismissive tone, “It was not necessary for you to know, and the information would have only hindered you in your work.” Emily glared at Sera in anger. "I also know about your plans to sabotage the hotel." Sera's face paled as she whispered, "Have you told anyone?" "No," Emily lied, "I wanted to confront you first before informing Heaven of your treachery!" Sera got up slowly, a grim expression on her face. Pushing her hair back, she said in a calm voice, "I can't let anyone get in the way of the exterminations. I am sorry, but you left me no choice." Emily took a step back in panic as a portal opened beneath her feet. "Goodbye, Emily," Sera said, pushing her, watching her scream in terror as she fell.

The sun had just risen over Pentagram City when Lilith arrived. She wrinkled her nose in disgust as the smell of fire and brimstone hit her. She made her way to the Morningstar Mansion, sighing as she thought about seeing her ex-husband. "Nice place you got here," Lute said, wiping the dust off the mirror. "It looks like the maid went on leave and never came back." Lilith glared at her before snapping her fingers in annoyance, cleaning the mansion in an instant. Turning to Lute, she said, "I need you to go and scan the surrounding areas around the hotel and report back to me." "I am your commanding officer; I don’t have to take orders from you," Lute responded coldly. Lilith gave her a sickly-sweet smile, "That is correct, but Sera put me in charge of this mission. So do as you’re told or face the consequences." Lute glared at her, "And what are you going to be doing?" she asked Lilith. "That does not concern you, just do as you're told."

Lute was furious. "How dare that wretched woman give me orders!" she thought, scanning the surrounding area as she approached the hotel. She hid as she noticed a demon in the distance. She stared at the demon in disbelief before running towards him, shouting and embracing him in a tight hug. "Adam! You're alive!" Adam turned around as Lute came barrelling towards him, knocking him over in an embrace. "Lute, you came back for me," he said in a weak voice, smiling before passing out.
