Summary
Whether he liked to admit it or not, Jake had sworn an oath which he would never break. The sea was his home and his hearth and his harbor, that would never change.
But what he hadn’t known when he swore that oath, was that he would meet a man with the same temperament as the sea. With arms that wrapped around him like waves, folding him into their embrace and pulling him into the depths of a comfort he had always thought only the water would be able to provide for him. Sea glass eyes searched his face for something, but he wasn’t sure what. Hope? Determination? Fear? Defeat? Maybe all of that at once.
