Chapter Text
derby harrington was mean.
he was cold, cruel, uncaring, horrible.
he didnt care about his people, he left the preps to rot more often then not.
at least thats what it looked like.
derby cared a lot about his people, of course he did! They were like incredibly annoying younger siblings, all of them.
He wouldnt admit it but he loved caring for them, loved talking to them, he loved them all.
He trusted them and they trusted him, He loved that.-
He hated when any of them got injured, which is exactly what happened today.
Derby wasnt doing anything, he was just reading, today had been utterly boring, nothing happening. That was until he heard the doors swing opened, followed by pinkys shrill voice.
“Oh my god gord!” That sounds much less then ideal.
He stood up and walk towards the entrance, and sure enough the scene was not good.
Chad had gord leaning on him— well no chad was carrying gord. Pinky was cupping gords face, which was bruised, his nose was bleeding, his face was contorted, he was taking slow breaths.
“Gord.” everyone turned to face him, he moved closer “you fool. What happened?”
“got jumped.” His voice sounded slurred a bit. Derby turned to chad
“He got jumped but those filthy paupers in old bullworth vale, broke his leg. Im sure hes concussed, poor soul couldnt even stand.”
Derby frowned “Set him down.” He nodded towards a couch, chad did so.
“Gord do you know what day it is?”
“uhm.. january 5th?”
Its august 29th.
“no. Do you know the year?”
“2028?”
..its 2006
“…no.”
“oh.”
Derby turned his attention to gords leg, he pulled his pant leg up, gord hissed as he did, and *damn* did it not look good.
“oh gosh..” pinkys hand was over her mouth chad just looked sick
“Chad help me lift him if you dont mind.” chad nodded and came over to the side, helping to lift him up.-
“careful. Id rather not scramble his brain further.”-
“of course.” once gord was secure they started for the entrance, he was practically limp.
“will he be alright?” pinky asked, she sounded nervous.-
“pinky, dear, of course he will be.” he said it a bit more aggressive then he meant to, but they continued to walk to the nurse.
He hoped hed be alright,, No, he WILL be alright.
