Shouta hummed to himself as he entered his kid's bedroom, finding him curled up on his bed with his hands under his face. His son was drooling all over his pillow, green curls splayed out on his pillow.
The man smiled softly at the sight, leaning forward to pet the fluffy curls he loves playing with so much, the action waking up the young boy.
"Hey, sweetheart." He whispered, smiling when the boy blinked slowly, a yawn escaping him.
"Morning, Da'." His words were slurred as he struggled to push away the sleepiness he felt. Izuku rubbed his fists over his eyes, stopping when he felt larger, more calloused hands pulling them away from his face.
"Someone's turning 15 today." Shouta grinned, laying next to the kid on the bed, chuckling when he immediately started snuggling into his chest.
"Me." Izuku mumbled, burying his face into the crook of his dad's neck. The young boy smiled when he felt lips pressed to the top of his head, leaning into the soft touches he's given.
"What do you wanna do today, kiddo?" Shouta asked softly, rubbing the kid's back when he felt him shiver slightly. "You have anything in mind?"
Izuku mumbled something into his chest, his cheeks turning red as he did so.
"Didn't hear that clearly, Problem Child. Speak up, buddy." Shouta reminded him, pulling away a bit so his kid can speak.
". . . Wanna be with you." The child mumbled, looking embarrassed when he uttered those words.
Shouta felt his heart melting at the request. This kid, this damn kid, will be the death of him. So sweet and soft. What did he ever do to deserve such a kid coming into his life? Shouta was wrapped around that little finger of his, and the kid didn't ever realise it.
The hero just realised how much this kid could get away with. He could quite possibly, let his son get away with bloody murder for all he cares.
Shouta squeezes Izuku into his arms, burying his face into the fluffy curls resting on top of his head.
"That's okay, right?" Izuku asked, feeling anxious when the man took a long time to respond.
"Yeah, baby. Of course its okay." Shouta cooed, pressing multiple kisses to the side of his kid's head.
"How about I make you some pancakes, then, we can watch a couple of those old magic movies you like so much?" Shouta suggested, smiling softly when the kid's eyes lit up at the mention of his favourite breakfast food.
"It's Harry Potter, Dad." Izuku said, a grin on his face as he got up, his dad's arm still wrapped around him.
"Happy Birthday, darling." Shouta whispered, his lips placed on the top of his son's head, humming to himself as he rocked the both of them back and forth.
Yeah, it's gonna be a real good day.
