“You’re late,” he said in that gravelly voice that never failed to make her knees weak. Sat with his back to the door, he seemed way too fed up to deign her a proper greet.
“I have been quite busy this morning. Could hardly find the time to even sit on my chair long enough, I was running around like crazy!”
“Do you believe me a fool, Rin?” he asked, uncrossing his legs. “There are multiple cameras on every floor of this building. Nothing goes around without my knowledge. And you…” it was his turn to tap his nails on the armrest of his chair, the sharp points digging yet another annoyed hole in the leather. How many chairs did he go through a year?
“As of lately, you’ve done nothing but tease. Work you say?” he scoffed, finally turning around with a hard stare crafted to nail her to the spot. “You’ve been tormenting me. Mercilessly. All wide eyes and pouty lips and deep cleavages.”
“Oh, do you perhaps watch me during the work hours, Sesshomaru-sama?” she piled on in the most vapid tone she could muster. “I had no idea!”
