This story starts in a place of impossibilities.
It’s still, and wild. Monochrome and colourful. Full and empty. Magma hot, and cold as the deep reaches of space.
But none of that matters when no one is here, and the things that are here, don't care.

Something new happened earlier. A thing appeared. It looked strange but powerful.
I don't know where it came from, maybe one of the big ones did it? Anyway, there's nothing new here other than that, but I'm going to keep an eye on it by making sure it thinks the same way wherever it goes.
It seems interesting.

When I opened my eyes, the first thing - things? - that I saw was indescribable. Whatever it was, it was everywhere and hard to look at. Kind of like when you’re looking in the dark and you see the squiggles, or you look at a light and then look away. But also felt. . . nice?
A strange blue screen (?) silently opened in front of me, about forty centimetres away from wherever (whatever?) I was. It had some text with a space to write back? It was surprisingly bright in comparison to the surroundings.
I somehow knew how to use it.

When that screen popped up, there were suddenly the sounds of confetti cannons and party blowers.
I then realised that those were the first things I had heard here.
But then it hit me.

Suddenly I had the body I remembered and a mirror in front of me. A blue screen to my left said

I fucked around with the character creation(?) for a bit, like making my head really big or everything tiny but it didn't feel right making a Sims monster.
So clearing the template, I made myself the same as usual but made myself a bit more androgynous and strange.
Looking at myself in the mirror I went over what I looked like.
I have shortish dark brown hair, with it as long as, like, to my ears? Enough to run my hands through which I can't really control.
Same ears but with separated earlobes cos why the fuck not? My eyebrows are the same with my swirl on one eyebrow that I can't even really describe but I like it.
My skin is as pale as it's always been, which is really pale. Luckily there was a slider for how easy I’ll burn which i put on the side of don't burn me. Who would ever put the slider on burn easily ?
Though one side effect is that it seems like my veins are really hard to see now? Maybe they like, make my skin more dense or something? I don't know, all of this is fucking weird.
I had fun with my eyes this time because my left one being my normal colour of blue but my right one being purple and gold! It took ages to get the colours right.
Normal heterochromia is rare enough. Three colours in two eyes is really strange as I’ve never heard of it but adding in these colours? I’m a statistical wonder!
But that's only assuming I didn't choose this. Choosing this just looks cool.
For the rest I just made some small adjustments like making my teeth more straight but also sharper.
Just little things.
So I pressed “ Save my features” to see what would come next.

Now this sucks, I don't like making decisions that much but this seems important.
There's different philosophies of whether being an all rounder or min-maxing is best in video games and for different games the best will be different, but this will be my life for the next however long.
These seem obvious enough for what they do like DND stats, so do i want to be okay at everything or be fucking O lympian at something. Or will not having enough Con mean that if i go all in on another stat that I’ll fucking rupture something or die as a baby?

These stats are quite rounded and would be a fine option to play it safe with a little focus on Luck

Con for growth of new muscles and less pain from working out
Dex for moving around with your huge guns!
(you wont die from no Con but it's highly recommended as you will get sick less and recover quicker)
So i definitely want some of those and probably everything as having zero in everything sounds bad, and if this is a gamer setup then I'll get more stats later.

Suddenly there was a big wheel going very fast so i couldn't see what was on there but as it slowed down i could see; my hero academia, how to train your dragon, supernatural, pokemon, self published stories, 9-1-1, undertale, anime, avatar: the last airbender.
All stuff which I enjoyed somewhat when i was alive, even if i hadn't watched it in years or i assume it would go to another wheel if it landed on the more broad categories.
And then it landed on Harry potter.
