Chapter 1: Part 1

Chapter Text

Quackity sighed as he put his legs up. It wasn’t that he disliked the company of Slime, but it was admittedly weird that his friend’s Dream SMP character had just shown up in his apartment.

Quackity looked around his room and groaned as he saw little bits of green stuck to every surface. Great. He’d have to clean that up, wouldn’t he? Not now though.

He had no idea what was going on with Charlie, but he figured he could probably figure it out on his own. He seemed capable enou-

“Hello, Quackity from Las Nevadas!”

Quackity turned around, trying to find the source of the sound. Oh god. Was Slime back? In the back of his mind he felt pissed because he already had enough to clean up from his last visit.

Quackity looked around frantically, trying to find the source of the voice.

The voice suddenly burst out in a fit of laughter and Quackity felt a chill run down his spine. Something about it seemed off. Almost distant.

“AHAHAHA- O-oh my god, dude, the look on your FACE! Ohh, that was SO worth it.”

“Wh… who-?”

“It’s me! Your friend Charlie! Though I guess you could’ve said the same about the slimey guy earlier, in a way.”

And Quackity finally identified where the voice was coming from. His computer, which had previously been on Twitter, was now only open on his wallpaper.

“Wh-where are you, even?”

“Right behind youuu~” it whispered.

Quackity swerved around without thinking and found nothing behind him. At this the distant voice that sounded like his friend went into even more fits of laughter.

Of course. The voice hadn’t been coming from behind. Of course there would have been nothing behind him. He turned back around to the computer.

“Oh my god, you’re REALLY fuckin’ gullible when you’re scared, dude. Y’know, I think I'm starting to like you, Quackity.”

“Who the hell are you?” it was more forceful this time.

“Woah, hey, easy there, tiger! No need to get all pissy. I guess I’m one of those ‘characters’, like your slimey friend from earlier. Charlie told you about the whole ‘characters coming to life’ thing, right?”

Quackity paused. “Yeah, I guess, but… Why are you here? In my apartment? Shouldn’t you be talking to Charlie or something?”

“Because, well, I don’t wanna go back, if I’m being honest. I like you, Quackity. You’re interesting. And I think I wanna hang out some more, y’know?”

Quackity didn’t really know how to respond to that. So instead, he asked one of the many questions on his mind.

“Where even are you? Really.”

“Really? I thought you would’ve figured it out by now, dude. Here, lemme show you.”

And with that, his computer suddenly opened YouTube. The word “slmccl” typed itself into the search bar, and brought up the slmccl YouTube channel. It then opened up the video titled “I Downloaded a Virus That Turns Your Desktop Into a Horror Game”

“Remember this?” it asked as the video began playing in the background. This really only made Quackity more confused.

“What? You saying you’re KinitoPet or something? I don’t think that’s one of Charlie’s characters, dude.”

The computer scrolled itself down to the description and highlighted text that said ‘Download the official Slimecicle zip bomb’

“Okay, fine, do you remember THIS at least?”

What? Didn't that just download a file with Charlie’s face on it and a song he made about some stalker inside a comput- oh.

“Oh.”

“That fucking took long enough.”

“Hey, I've had a rough day, leave me alone. Honestly, you’re kind of a prick so I’m just gonna…” he reached for the power button on his computer and the computer shut off. For some reason that surprised him. He’d expected it to yell at him or-

“What, you really think you can get rid of me so easily?”

It was louder this time, and this time it actually was coming from behind Quackity. He turned around and saw his TV was on. It had what looked like a pixelated character which reminded him of some fanart he’d seen of Charlie’s QSMP character, except his body was almost entirely black and green.

“Okay, what the fuck? I’m calling Charlie.” Quackity pulled out his phone, but he was just met with the same pixelated character looking at him in a disappointed fashion.

“I told you, dude, I don’t wanna go back. Since you’re kinda refusing to cooperate, I’m gonna have to keep you here. Sorry man.”

And at that, he heard the worst possible noise he could have heard at that moment. The doors locked themselves.

“Wh-what the- how the fuck -?”

“Look, man. I don’t wanna have to do this, but I'd like you to work with me, y’know? So I’m just gonna keep you here until you learn your lesson, if that’s okay.”

“Wh- NO! THAT’S NOT OKAY, AT ALL, ACTUALLY! WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM?”

The black and green character reappeared on his TV and looked down at him, making Quackity feel small.

“Sorry, wrong wording. I don't ACTUALLY care if it’s okay with you. Don’t worry, I'll let you out once you learn your lesson. That’ll probably be in about…” it pulled up the calculator on his phone and typed in 14÷7 , “2 weeks? How’s that work for you?”

Fuck.
